Can re just agree that the people who have a problem with this are really not comic fans but from the old crowd of "former fans" that do nothing but hate comics and what they are for a living.
The only criticisms they give this honestly really good story and character are "muh SJW bogeyman" and nothing else. As if the majority of people aren't on board with progressive stuff and by in large enjoy it now. It's just outrage from a very small minority of people who have nothing to do with comics.
If they don't like comics as they are now, then they aren't real comic fans.
I don't think narcissistic writers should blatantly self insert themselves into comics.
This applies to male and female alike.

Obvious bait thread is obvious.
Christian Baker
>obvious bait is obvious
Dominic Sanchez
its not a comic
Ryder Nguyen
No, the old guard are mostly abandoned comics because they aren't explicitly and exclusively catered to their very niche demographic anymore and spend all of their time resenting comics on the internet for doing things that are interesting and different.
A small number of old guard can accept comics as they are and the changes that have been made along the way. They still support the industry because they are the real fans.

Fag.
Isaiah Stewart
I REALLY don't think the self insert accusations hold any weight, just because the character and the author hold SOME similarities.
Big brain response here.
Lucas Wright
>can we just agree. Stopped reading there.
Jack Thompson
>I REALLY don't think the self insert accusations hold any weight You're joking, right?
Aiden Harris
i don't have a problem with "sjw" stuff when it's done right.one of my favorite comics has a lesbian love triangle. what i do hate is ugly main characters. i don't wanna look at that constantly. i also hate blatant self inserts, which is why i dropped owl house.
Landon Turner
it does seem like op is another one of those magafags who try to act how they think sjws do in a shitty attempt to drum up controversy against them.
Robert Rodriguez

>I cannot imagine why a story represented by a character turning her back on a popular comic book character would be rejected by comic fans.
Christopher Mitchell
I don't think some similarities in the appearance really make the character a self insert. You'd need more to back up that claim than "they have the same hair color"
Ryan Hall
>doing things that are interesting and different Yawn, what a boring bait.
The best thing about this whining is that these people don't read this line graphic novels, all of which take huge liberties with the source material, aren't official canon, and are aimed at an entirely different demographic anyway. So it's entirely about identity politics whining.
Aaron Russell
She clearly holds a whole hell of a lot of weight
Jeremiah James
Because fatties are shameful and disgusting
Dominic Torres
can re just agree that the cover art for this incomplete book is shit? serouisly the main character looks like a mean spirited caricature.
Lincoln Howard

I don't get how the anti-idpol people continue their sperging despite pretty much losing on every front and being a laughing stock.
