Because the first 3 movies were actually good

I want to fuck a twilek, bro.

After reading more about how space actually works most of space sci-fi is dead to you, including SW :(

Actually only Empire is good. The first one is a shoddy remake of the hidden fortress with space niggers and magic and RotJ is just a 2 hour long commercial for teddy bears and action figures on hover bikes.

I tried watching the 1970s star wars movie. It was so boring that I got a headache after half an hour.

I’d like her to force grip me and take my midichlorian count if you know what I mean.

Only the prequels were good

They were visually stunning (at the time) and the premise was good, but the dialogue and acting is just so fucking horrible.

I enjoyed the first season of the Expanse though, and a handfull of episodes of Star Trek TNG and ENT

Only good thing to come out of that franchise are the games

Better direction and cinematography could've sold it but instead it was clunky and everything always looked a bit fuzzy because of the ever-present green screen.

do zoomers even watch this garbage series. its stale and fucking long

I love sci fi but I've never been into Star Wars, it's so bland and the world is immensely shallow.

To be fair, Star Wars isn't really sci fi. It's more like swords and magic set in space.

The next two prequels were actually good too within reason, and the third prequel was actually better plot wise, with lots of political twists.

Star Wars had to be passed on to someone like Christopher Nolan. For then onwards to become a high quality milk cow given two film contracts at a time to an actually good director.

But anyhow, the world of starwars was huge and interesting, and inticrate, we were all waiting for the next vidya to come out and allow you the great experience to play as a jedi and whatnot... the prequel toys and merch was coveted by the regular people, you wanted silly toys, lunchboxes, notebooks, lots of companies would get licenses to have a starwars graphic on their products, a notebook, some shitty third world country toy given away for free with the purchase of some snack

vidya wise after jedi knight academy, nothing ever came out to satisfy that need... makes you really wonder what happened, lots of fun starwars games then, seriously if it had starwars on it youd want to buy it

today if it has starwars on it, it is shit in discout stores and landfills

im not going to lie, george lucas starwars was the shit for me, I bought a starwars book that explained the inspiration for starwars, the nazis, Joseph Cambel, the samurai, it was like a tick magazinbe that explained all things that inspired starwars, from music, to cultures, to mythology, to film.

I got into history because of it, I read countless mythology/phylosophy books because of it, I began watching Kurosawa and "western" films because of it, I felt in love with the samurai and Japanese culture in general because of it.

Star Wars was also the only film I´ve ever seen in the cinema in which people go "woah!!"
At some point when Obi Wan and Taken guy fight Darth Maul the fight became so cool and fast and agresive, we literally went "woah" in almost unison, after that Ive never seen people react liek that in a movie ever sicne

Some burgers are obsessed. I know people in their 30s who never saw it, I hate the prequels and the last one is shit. My parents' generation is generally indifferent. For the people who like it, it's mainly childhood nostalgia.

Have you played the latest? It's pretty good even if the actor is goofy looking.

You mean this?

It uses (arguably poorly) some scientific theories or realities like in engines exist they just don't work even remotely like they do on TIE fighters. Hyperspace relates to some faster than light travel theory. However, yeah it's basically fantasy in space with inspiration from Flash Gordon, Samurai films and WW2. The mandolarian heavily borrows from westerns.

The Expanse is pretty good.

I've only seen season 1 and parts of season 2. Are season 2 and 3 as good or better? The character played by Thomas Jane dies, and all the other actors are pretty meh so I fell off the wagon but considering getting back on if the sci-fi is convincing enough.

What the fuck is that?

Swtor

>missed S3
Oof.

I'm going to spoil a little bit for you.
The char played by Thomas Jane doesn't outright die, he appears in S3 and S4.

Also the actors get better as the show matures.

Okay, that's enough to get me back on track. Thanks.

It's fucking stupid and not even hard sci fi.

el color de la ceja marca el de la almeja

Are there any shows that are hard sci fi?

Planetes, space bros.

how many midichlorians would you transfer over to her?

>manga
Thanks, but no thanks.

Original trilogy has great stories.
The prequels are great meme material and have their moments.
Wish there was a sequel trilogy that solved the remaining plot issues in the whole story.

Because it's based!

just have fun bro. yeah sci-fiction is dumb as shit but try to ignore all the inaccuracies and enjoy it. you gotta change your mindset

I miss this game. I haven't played since 3.0

As much as it takes to restore the balance of the Force.

>IT'S OVER ANAKIN, I HAVE THE HIGH GROUND!

sneed

first adventure move gen x ever saw, never moved past it

that's all really

So? It's good.

Episode 3 is great. Episode 1 is a bit cringe. I find the complex personality of Anakin Skywalker a bit intriguing. Star Wars are not really about space ships, it's a family soap opera.
