They're circling the wagons around Gorman/Thatchell because he said the quiet part loud back when attention wasn't as present on "fringe gay activists stop being a right wing hysteric", and now the messaging is inconvenient now that the "fringe gay activists" are literally running the government.
But he wants the same thing they all want. The bigger question is why the hell there's an international (Anglophone) gay mafia running the faculties of the Irish government built around programming children and intervening over the heads of their parents "for their benefit". The answers are inherently un-PC.

It's pretty silly as well how much the anti-RCC hysteria has been based on covert pedophilia coopting an anti-pedophile (and anti-gay) institution, but as soon as pedophilia advances its interests openly in the name of an ideology with good branding and elite support, they see no evil hear no evil speak no evil. Or say it's good or "not" pedophilia for young teenagers to be groomed into homosexuality or the entirely novel mutilation of transsexualism.
Not to mention the fact that government involvement in the pedophile ring(s) now and then, not to mention the overlap with the international (Anglo-American) pedophile ring(s) is never really talked about as a factor in the "Irish"/"Catholic" pedophile cabals. And unlike the past where there was no way for uninvolved people to find out about the pedophile ring within the RCC, bar unsubstantiated gossip, there's access to all the information about these people and their connections, and what they say they believe about what children should be subjected to. So people have to choose to be ignorant these days, and many don't, they choose to go along with what is being done to children because the ideology of Gorman and Thatchell and co. is the state religion in a way the RCC never was in the free state.
