Prescriptions go to a pharmacy electronically now.

Does a medical insurance in the usa cover the full cost of the treatment?

HHAHAHHAHAHAHA

Stop playing dumb. Our health system us truly retarded.

OH NONONONONONNO

Depends on your coverage. I have a copay either way and a 500 dollar deductible. Most I will pay is 599 dollars for a hospital visit. 10 dollars for a normal doctor visit. Most prescriptions are 5 dollars or less. I don't understand how people here go bankrupt from medical bills here.

Because most people have their health care tied to their employment situation, and many people have shitty jobs with little or no benefits.

Imagine going to a hospital like a fucking pussy.
Break an arm? Get some rulers and duct tape, *boom* instant arm cast.
Got a cold? Tell it to shut the fuck up and make sure to drink at least 3 beers before going to bed.
Toothache? Remove the tooth, simple as.
Loose a limb? Set it on fire with ethanol to not only cauterize the wound but to also sterilize it, now you can get one of those cool robo arms.
Who the fuck needs doctors when you can just live in Arkansas?

Just for clarification, if some month you need to go to a hospital than you pay the 500 deductible and another fee up to 600 dollars?

>Americans go to the hospital and be like
>Yeahh uhhh can I have a lifesaving surgery

you actually leave with a perscription. and don't worry, they won't forget to send you the bill later.

i fucking hate these stupid britbongs that act like they know what they are talking about, but could not be more wrong.

everyone and every case is different. you'd be surprised how many stupid morons get full coverage here

maybe take care of yourself in your daily life and you won't be crying at the hospital for "life saving surgery". you idiots that cry about universal health care don't realize that this will fill our hospitals with junkies that have not much more than addiction problems

No, they bill you at the end of their financial quarter. My bill was $4,754 for ER services for a broken leg and $3,214 for surgery a week later (also two $250 doctors' visits, billed separately).

t. /dbt/

why is full coverage bad? is it significantly more expensive?

it just is a shame to see it go to people who have nothing going for them in life and never will

>dr please i'm sorry my apendix exploded, thats totally my fault please please, i will not do it again, give me surgery just this one time please please, i swear i will never eat mcdonalds again

well yes, that's what happened to my mom when the doctor gave her six months to live with her shit kidneys. Her brother simped for her and the surgery was two weeks later, pending only on required health checks for him. Cost was split evenly between both, only ~$5k apiece. No organ charges, since a kidney for her would have cost around $50k and required a lot more post-op treatment.

This is far better than leafland where people over 40 are waitlisted to death.

full coverage goes to people who are like mentally retarded and have addiction problems. this shit is bullshit. yet the 9-5 working man working a low to mid tier job has to pay for doctors visits, hospital visits, perscriptions. the low life dregs can usually get a free ride. feels great

they will still see that person. they have heard everything before. at least you tried. and thanks for ignoring everything i said

Holy shit, and I got I pissed off when I went to the dentist and got a $100 bill

Are you genuinely retarded? you’ve never been to the hospital or dealt with insurance companies outside of a cheap prescription lol.

>American doctors be like "you have a slight headache? here's an opiate prescription"

If its an essential operation you get ahead in the waitlist. Its not like a fucking cancer patient is gonna wait behind a kid with a swollen eye

It taught me a lesson: never go to the ER. A doctor telling me my leg needed surgery would have only cost $50 at a cash clinic.

he's probably on mommy and daddy's insurance, ignore him

bro... i swear you could have fought this. unless you're working a really high paying job or something. you could have fought that bill. it would have taken a lot of very depressing phone calls. but if that's the difference between paying all of that or paying close to none of that. wasting a day on the phone can be worth it

>non-americans commenting on our healthcare system
at least we actually have a functioning healthcare system that isn't socialized

I went to an ER and they said insurance covered everything and there was no fee
two months later I got a 10K bill full of false information from the ER. Said I had a severe head injury (it was a minor ankle injury that required 3 stitches)
And I have pretty solid insurance

sometimes you can fight the bill successfully but you will still get borderline harassing phone calls. it's a shit system. they must think everyone's a stupid junkie

Deductible is a once a year thing. The 99 dollars is for ER visits. It is mostly to keep people from using ERs as a general care provider which many people do.

Yeah I’m fighting it... 6 months later. It’s a fucking nightmare though

So people with major problems can get full coverage for free?

My insurance already covered 50%, the original ER and surgery bills were $10k and $7k respectively. Attempts to convince otherwise sent me to my insurer's kentucky office where they informed me that under KY law I have a right to not use their service and they had a right to call a collections service. Not much I can do since I did try not paying, so they called my bank and had a lien put on my mortgage until I agreed to finance it through the bank (basically my healthcare bill became part of my mortgage).

So i can get health insurance for less than a 1000 dollars a year? thats pretty good no?

No he’s lying/baiting dude. I have family who are quite literally making over 200K a year who have troubles with insurance and health care. No one just “gets” full coverage, nothing could possibly be further from the truth. Not only is our health care shit but we get fined if we don’t have any.

it varies from state to state. it depends. if you're live with your parents who have a gigantic income, probably not

You CAN get full (over 90%) coverage if you're part of a Union and jew your employer into it. However you also have to pay 10% of your income in Union dues, so it's like having insurance but the insurance company is your coworkers. This also incentivizes workers to not engage in risky or unsafe behavior at work, because if even 1 accident happens they're all paying for it.

t. paid an extra $75 in his union dues because the three stooges managed to tip a manlift into a powerline at work

i have been saying this whole entire time that if you make a ton of money, you will probably not get full coverage. please try to pay attention. every situation is different. whoever is the one working for the government that pulls the trigger gets to decide

fucking says i'm the one lying and baiting when he doesn't even read everything. typical Zig Forums bullshit

also, fuck your family for making over 200k. not all of us get that luxury. there are plenty of people in much lower income brackets that still have your family's same problems. i am sure they have it so rough

unions coverage is based but it’s a pretty small chunk of the US population
