Have you ever moved somewhere and regretted it?
Austin Kelly
Wyatt Harris

Christopher Adams
yeah I moved from Zig Forums to Zig Forums
worst mistake of my life
Jaxson Hall
Yes. To a new state and now I wish I had just stayed at home.
Daniel Wilson
Yes. Was packed with money too but I couldn't do it, I'm 99% sure I would have become depressed eventually. Left after a few months
Leo Cooper
what state?
how do i move back to another board? i fucking hate Zig Forums. i try to Zig Forums but its alomt like int. Zig Forums is still kind of cool but its too much coomer boomers now
Levi Garcia
I joined the army and got stationed in Georgia for 4 fucking years. That was shit
Tyler Lopez
The only difference between Zig Forums and Zig Forums is that Zig Forums's a little more hipster.
>they were gay before it was cool
Ethan Taylor
Let's just say it ins't lower 48 and it's a pain to get to and from here. They also don't like white people all that much so I just feel like I goofed desu
Zig Forums is great but /out/ is the best kept secret on Zig Forums
see for me it was the opposite I was stationed in cali and left there, now I'm feeling dumb.
Chase Morgan
Where'd you go, Italybro?
Kayden Watson
Somewhere in the British Isles
Julian Ross
Yuck. Why would anyone want to do that?

>live with my brother
>he constantly swings between calm/reasonable and hostile/unreasonable
>intensely weird and psychologically fucked up behaviour
>has a problem with drinking and drugs
>have a huge falling out with him and am now quite happy to never speak to or even see him ever again
>move in with friend
>he only charges a pittance in board/rent, so i offer to pay him more money than he wanted
>on top of the extra money i pay him, i share my grog and weed with him quite regularly
>for reasons i don't understand, he's super territorial about letting me use his dryer to dry my wet work clothes
>i offer to pay him extra money to cover the hike in electricity bills
>he still doesn't want me using his dryer
>ends up getting rid of me after a couple of months so he can have his space back
>move in with another friend
>things are okay at first, but his on again-off again gf keeps stopping by with their kids
>i get along great with his kids and they don't really bother me at all because i expect kids to make noise and get in the way; it's just what they do
>meanwhile, he and his gf fight all the time
>not just minor disagreements, either; they get insanely heated, yell and swear at each other at the top of their lungs
>never in my whole life have i heard someone speak to another person as horribly as i hear him shout at his gf
>he often drinks and that's when he loses control the easiest
>one time they fought so badly i had to call the cops on him
>start looking for another place to move to
>before i can get enough money together, his boss pulls a swifty on him and he loses his job; forcing him to move to another city to work with some friends he has down there

>i haven't had enough time to get some money together, either, and end up moving in with my mum and my other brother
>not her fault since she didn't buy the house to accomodate lots of people, but it's cramped, everyon is always on top of each other and you can't get five minutes to yourself without someoen walking past or interrupting you to say some dumb shit
>paying board/rent and contributing to utility bills, but at least it's cheap and i use the opportunity to get together enough money to buy a new car
>get the car out of the way and save up a couple of grand
>have several more grand coming to me in a tax return soon
>going to use it to buy some furniture, white goods and move to a new place... on my own this time
Honestly all my moves over the last few years have been shit. But that's about to change.
Angel King
let me guess florida?
Luke Reed
The money was insane for my level of experience.
Still I don't regret trying, I realised how miserable I'll be if I pursue a career that I don't like in a country I don't like. It made me change path in life.
Robert Rivera
Good for you, brother. Better to find out sooner than when it's too late.
What field, by the way?
Carter Reed
Accounting
Caleb Cox
Good luck man, i hope you can find yourself a nice place
Ayden Diaz
Yuck. Absolutely soul sucking and likely to be one of the first jobs to get automated out of existence.
Benjamin Stewart
Thanks. I've found a pretty decent suburb to move to. It's a little bit out of the way compared to where I've lived throughout most of my life, but it's also quieter and the cost of rent is much more reasonable. The closer you get to the beach it just gets stupid and you end up paying a moderate amount just for somewhere that sucks, anyway.
James Phillips
i moved close to the shipyard i work in and this place is full of drunks, junkies, gypsies, slavs and nigs
Carson Gomez
yes
France: nice place, would be GOAT if i knew the language, friendly people, women welcoming me for sex, good food
Germany: i felt like a god in france and suddenly i was not even special, no one in germany cares about you unless you're already their friend or known them for years. Fast food was good, the rest you make at home so it's to your tastes. The atmosphere was a buzzkill though after france. Wouldn't recommend moving to Germany unless you are from a decrepit eastern euro shithole. There are way more fun, luxurious, or outgoing developed countries than here - so pass.
Finland: I thought Germany was a step down from France, but this was a step down from when I had to spend 3 months in Costa Rica.
Finland is by far, and with no exaggeration, the worst country to set foot in. Cold, dark, no one speaks, no one acknowledges anyone elses existence. The food is shit. The ingredients are shit. The foreign food is shit. The people are nice but even Germans seem nicer. The nature is very bland, once you've seen one spot you've seen it all. There is quite literally no reason you should ever, in your life, go to this place. "b-but my finnish qt is there" - okay so make her come to you. Trust me.
Norway: Weird people, but nice. Welcoming. They all treat you like a normal person, nothing special. They don't really have anything that stands out as human beings, aside from being a little bit weird (in a good way). These people reminded me like if you took Swedes and stripped them of all their entitlement, pretentiousness, and good looks. In terms of livability, the suburbs reminded me of the US. CIties are shit tier compared to even eastern euro countries, but you should be coming here for livability and to live a reasonable life. Nothing special, nothing bad.
Switzerland: God tier. The garden of eden. If you make it to switzerland you should feel like there is no greater place in the world. The only better situation would be rich Chinese or American.
Ryder Moore
Have you been robbed yet?
Thomas Lee
no but my car has been broken in to and my bike stolen (all the bikes from the bike storage)
Hudson Barnes
Very based post. Were you just visiting those places or did you live in any of them for a decent amount of time? What do you do for a living?
Luke Nguyen
Yeah but the choice of moving was out of my power, i was a kid at the time. Queensland is fucking shit.
Nathan Gomez
That sucks. Will working where you currently are allow you to save enough money to move somewhere a bit nicer?
Kevin Wood
i was in the hotel industry. now i am unemployed and back on int.
Matthew Howard
How did you get into international hotel stuff? Seems like an interesting kind of gig
Mason Garcia
yes sir
Henry Price
I was on a trip in miami and talked to a kid doing concierge at the hotel. He was waiting for paris hilton to arrive and i thought that was so fucking cool that his job was to meet celebrities and make sure their needs are met. He gave me his card and I researched job positions at his company. I had a masters in statistics though so I wouldn't do lowly shit like him, instead I became a data analyst doing trend statistics for a multi-national hotel group.
Aiden Harris
And that allowed you to travel and stay in other countries? Very cool my dude
Adrian Collins
Well then I hope that happens for you.
Nolan Perez
I was fascinated by languages back then, so I moved to study in another province (roughly equivalent to a state) in the hope that I can expand my knowledge of other ethnicities in country. I failed. Shouldn't have done that.
