most turks and greeks hate each other lol why force this meme?
Once Greeks apologize for committing the yalova massacre against turks.
Not really the case mate. All the Greeks I have ever met were very friendly with me, there is nothing wrong with Greek and Turk relationship these days. It's just overly nationalistic politicians trying to start shit, bitter older generations (not all of them) and keyboard warriors who sleep clutching a history book.
you're in australia bro, i doubt you've even been to greece, or go to cyprus, it's worse there, greek/turk hate in cyprus is serious
In reality everyone should apologise to each other if thats what you mean because in history there is not a single country that has not commited attrocities especially in the middle of a world war. History is history, we must learn from our past mistakes and make sure to prevent it happening again in the future.
What about the 1.2 million Turkish tourists who go to Greece and the 1.6 million Greek tourists who go to Turkey?
Cyprus itself is a messy issue and really external powers are at fault for all the misery in the island. While there will always be political tention due to the overly nationalistic politicans strigging shit. Unification is not impossible but for now is not a good idea
sounds like fake statistics, greece is poor as shit and i highly doubt 2/10 of their country is traveling even to a close country, turkey is a huge country though so i believe those turkish statistics, that said 1.2 million is not a lot for a country like turkey which is what, 80 million? 1/80 is not a lot
hmmmm yeah, personally though i love both turkey and greece and i want to learn both languages, BUT when i talks to turks about greece, they never have anything good to say, and when i talk to greeks about turks, it's the same. honestly i think the countries are more similar than different and share a common history. i mean for hundreds of years asia minor was populated heavily by greeks. i think the colonial history of turkey really soured the relationship between both countries, seems like a big political mistake in the long run, same reason cyprus will probably never be a great country, too much tension
yesterday I've learnt that some of the turks I know from the small town my family are from all were migrant from near-by village that historically were greek village that dismantled in ww1 for population exchange.
I was a bit off with numbers but its close enough

question: why are you living in NZ if you seem very tied to turkey/greece?
why you live in america if you consider yourself white or black or hispanic?
There is alot of interwining with Greeks historically as both Turks and Greeks lived in the same area with overlapping civlisations for a millenia (it would be even longer for those with full Native Anatolian heritage)
1. america is a historically white country
2. i don't love another country or care about them as much as this one
america is historically red country
r/place. I had fun destroying Nepali and Pakistani flags there.
no, history doesn't exist without writing and they weren't writing so they have no history, europeans brought history to the americas
Thats an insult to the Greek flag
no euros brought advancement, history doesnt depend on scripts to exist
HOLY BASED
>history doesnt depend on scripts to exist
yes it does retard, that's why the period before writing is called "pre-history", history is literally dependent on writing
Is this what they teach in America...wtf
Than the vikings didn't have a history. Sorry nordic bros, you guys don't have history because you didn't write shit down. It doesn't matter that you passed things down via stories. You don't have a history.
here, you literal fucking monkey
>what are runestones
Vikings wrote shit down, you fucking retard.
Than in that case Americas had history too because of the Aztecs. They arguably had more complex writing system than runes.
>Than the vikings didn't have a history.
they barely wrote or preserved anything so yeah, luckily they did have some historians like snorri or else we'd know even less. the romans also recorded their history for them to an extent. but the native americans properly speaking don't have a history, simply because they didn't write and no one wrote for them. history is literally about documentation in the most technical sense, it's not about the events that occurred but how those events are interpreted and recorded.
okay but you were talking about north america you fucking retard and all of this to make some shit point about why i asked OP why he is living in new zealand if he seems so culturally tied to turkey, i wasn't even trying to be rude with that question, i was genuinely curious because it seems weird, he abandoned the country he apparently loves
I was not the first Turk poster, are all US flag posters you? Some other guy was saying that, there are two Turkish flag responses to your other reply.
okay
