Sometimes when reading books, I'll have to read the sentence over again but with a different tone when I see the punctuation mark. That being said, there's only need for a single punctuation mark at the beginning of a sentence.

Spanish doesn't change the order of words to make questions. So it is appropriate to mark a sentence as a question from the very start to know how to read it properly.

usually you can tell by the structure of the sentence tgat it's a question. is that not so in spanish?

basically, in spanish you can use the word order you want, the language is not really rigid, so it is important to know the intonation at the beginning
