Mostly because of the "false friends" such as P, B, H. Our brains are already wired to know those. Once I get over this initial hurdle I will never get it wrong again. At least with Mandarin it was completely different so my retard brain never got confused.

Yes it's my second language. Russian will be my third. Everyone was pushing me to do spanish but I have no interest in spanish speaking countries and have liked Russia since I was a kid. I can't learn something if I don't have an interest.

It's really easy, half of them are just a different letter than what latin uses, then a few are just 2 letters together in latin, and then you just have some variants on zh shoulds etc it takes 10min to learn at max.
