Why do these kinds of people never appear in old photos? WW2 era Finns for example always look chad, even the more Mongoloid ones. Could it be that these people simply did not have photos taken of them in the past, or is this look some kind of modern aberration? Even Finnish class photos I have seen on here from the 60s and 70s never have these people

I've been wondering the same thing. People are fat and they're not taking care of their looks, that's the main reason.

The person in the photo just needs to lose 30 kilos and start working out and eating somewhat clean. The reason people look good in old photos is because most of them had to do manual labour and also didn't eat shit foods and were generally skinny. You would be surprised how much better everyone looks at 10-12% bodyfat with some muscle.

Because the phenotype in OP pic, which is used as anti-Finn propaganda, is only savolaxid, eastern Finns not the rest of Finnland.
The phenotype map of Europe has horrible placement, you have to read the names and then associate them with locations because the pictures can be in completely wrong countries.

Modern people in all countries look like shit compared to how they did in the past, but at least you can tell that they are the same "people" and not an entirely different race, lol

Sometimes they look so much worse, I actually wonder if our genes got fucked up somewhere along the line.
But there are photos of people in the past looking terrible (look at the photos of most nobles, they are all inbred/out of shape/soyboys), then you realise most modern people live similar to how the nobles lived in the past (maybe even better) and things start to make more sense.

Statistically Lappoid phenotypes correlate with Lappoid ancestry. Only the middle one looks extreme.
Krista Pärmäkoski is probably somewhere between 17-24% Saami but this lady is from Finland Proper and is likely only 12-14% Saami. I feel like she could pass even better as Saami.
