Fuck commies, fuck Trotsky.

>At the League of Nations, Mexico was one of only five member-states to condemn the Italian invasion and occupation of Ethiopia. Because of this, Ethiopia kept its seat in the assembly, and it remained a member of the League.[1]

>Mexico was the only country to strongly condemn Italy's sovereignty over Ethiopia, respecting Ethiopian independence throughout. Including Mexico, only six nations in 1937 did not recognise the Italian occupation: China, New Zealand, the Soviet Union, the Republic of Spain and the United States.[119][120]

>Mexico was the one of only two countries in the Americas to maintain diplomatic ties with Cuba throughout the Cuban missile crisis. This demonstrated Mexico's dedication to keeping ties with Cuba, even when they had to consider how the United States could react. “We have a problem when a foreign government calls our brothers the enemy of the hemisphere. We are not Haiti, Grenada, Bahamas or Jamaica; we are not a colony that will adhere to decisions under American pressure". Mexican President Adolfo López Mateos statement during the Cuban missile crisis that pit the United States on a brink of nuclear war in Cuba.

They will never let you migrate. Stop eet.

>During the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), Mexico had provided arms and refuge to political refugees. Throughout the war, Mexican volunteers joined the Republican side to fight Francisco Franco. In 1939 when Francisco Franco took power in Spain, Mexico severed diplomatic relations between the two nations. After the war, thousands of Spanish refugees sought asylum in Mexico and former Mexican consul in Marseille, France, Gilberto Bosques Saldívar, issued thousands of visas to Spanish refugees and other asylees to seek refuge in Mexico.[5] Though the Republicans had lost the war, this helped improve the relationship between the two countries after the death of Franco. Mexico and Spain re-established diplomatic relations on 28 March 1977.[6]

Why is Mexico such a friendly country in external politics?

who do you think you're talking to?

Chaotic neutral: the country

historically mexico has always been one of the few countries to tell USA to fuck off. sure we lost wars and all but we didn't get absolutely colonized like Europe after ww2

Mexican suoerpower would've been /comfy/, Spanish is a way better lingua franca, Latina qts would be more abundant, and instead of soulless American cities, we'd get to live in SOVLful cities in tropical or mountanious climates. Unfortunately the Amerigoblos had to ruin it all with their greed and imperialism

Experience of other countries intervening in Mexico, Mexico got hung up on that so self determination is one of the most important principles in Mexico's foreign relations. There are many things I dont like about Mexico's foreign relations but right now I just want to share the best moments.
Its called the Estrada doctrine.

literally a shithole

Reminder that the US wanted to invade mexico during the war and during the revolution but they feared the mexican bvll.

Reminder that the US wants to intervene in mexico but fears the consequences of actually using its military there. Just look at trump not passing the terrorist designation for cartels.

You need glasses, thats a map of tenochtitlan not colonial mexico City

still a shithole

I don't even like brown and black people, but I can't lie. This is pretty based and principled.

Aren’t the cartels basically in cahoots with CIA or something? Maybe I heard it wrong.

>Bosques was stationed in France from 1939–1943, coinciding with most of World War II, initially as Mexico's Consul General. Fleeing the German occupation of Paris in May 1940, Bosques was instructed by his government to organize a consulate to represent Mexico in Vichy France, which he set up in Marseille. Once Nazi Germany had occupied France and entrusted much of the governance of the country to Vichy France, he directed consular employees to issue a visa to anybody wanting to flee to Mexico. Under his auspices, visas were issued to approximately 40,000 people, mostly Jews and Spaniards. The Spaniards rescued were refugees from Francoist Spain after the conclusion of the Spanish Civil War in April 1939. Bosques rented a castle and a summer holiday camp in Marseilles to house refugees under the protection of what he maintained was Mexican territory under International Law.[7]

how?
Any claims of any organization being a CIA proxy are exaggerated. The US cooperates with criminals and terrorists but only to the extent it's convenient, they arent literal puppets

That being said the mexican gov is basically controlled by the sinaloa cartel (CDS). The CDS itself works very closely with the DEA and allegedly the CIA to maintain a monopoly on drugs because since they are old school the americans trust them more

alpha as fuck move.

guess it’s time I finally watch Narcos Mexico
