British people don't pronounce r's at the ends of words. The word "car" for example, dictionary.cambridge.org/pronunciation/english/car.

The BBC is easier to listen to than the ABC.

You woa mä'e? Bri'ish aksänt sounds way be'er mä'e

it's okay maybe you're def

they talk like fags and their shit's all retarded

funny, because i can distinguish brazillian accent from portuguese accent and i dont speak any portuguese

No such thing as a British accent or American accent so makes sense that you can't tell them apart.

don't believe you

yes but enough about Americans

British: 'ello guvnah
American: Hello governor

There are parts of the USA where the local dialect sounds similar to some dialects of the UK, but if you compare London cockney to Tenessee redneck English, even a person who doesn't understand English would notice that people speak differently.

Scottish accent is my favorite
>brown
>scottish accent: BROON

>American
>not 'heya, hoss'

>There are parts of the USA where the local dialect sounds similar to some dialects of the UK
which areas are these?

Most americans like to enunciate, british english just sounds like they’re trying to prank you into thinking that people talk like that

some people in Devon and Cornwall almost sound like they could pass for americans. not sure if this is really the case though because i was drunk like 90% of the time i was there

I honestly just listen to english when listening to music or watching a movie, i don't usually go to see average americans/brits talking. For me it sounds very similar desu but I know its not the same as rednecks/cockneys talking
I can recognize Indian accent tho

When most people think of American vs. British accents they are thinking of something called rhoticity. Just means how they pronounce the R sound. Most British accents drop the R and most Americans do not. Like this user pointed out some english accents are exceptions to this rule. Similarly some American accents are exceptions also (Boston, New York).

Americans pronounce hard R's and we do soft R's
Americans pronounce T's soft like D's and we do sharp T's or glottal stops like the bri'ish meme.
They pronounce the 'aught' in words like 'ot' so caught and cot sound similar
We focus on the U after the T in words like Tuesday and Youtube but Americans pronounce the Tu as 'oo' which is why so many conduse loony tunes and being loony toons.

Standard British/American are basically the same but Britain has well more meme accents though,

>they talk like fags
Well I mean they just talk

Stephen Merchant is a good example of a rhotic British accent youtube.com/watch?v=qUJRjPRH-u4

Here is much more cute rhotic accent
