Scientific methodology is superior to historical methodology. Historical truth (if such a thing even exists, I am dubious) is inferior to scientific truth. If something is reported that conflicts with known scientific principles then science trumps you and science is true. If you disagree on this point then this argument can go no further because we disagree about the fundamental nature of reality.
Ancient rulers were reported to control the winds, the tides and to cause eclipses. This is historically true, in the sense that the sources accurately report their beliefs, but not scientifically true. We know through scientific observation and experiment that these things have different, non human causes and in fact people cannot psychically control natural phenomena.
Likewise, the resurrection of Jesus may be historically true (actually it was heavily disputed by multiple sources), but it is not scientifically true. Therefore it is not true at all. Because the scientific truth of the matter (that humans cannot rise from the dead) trumps an inferior reported truth.
