>New Mexico is a shith-
Wow

That stone foundation.

HNNNGGGHHHHHHHHH

You can tell a building is old when it has a stone or brick foundation. Newer buildings have a concrete (pig disgusting) foundation.

Most of the SO\/L of the west coast burned down the past few weeks. 100 year old towns reduced to nothing.

Honestly, American cities range from meh to ugly. But the highly varied, incredibly beautiful American countryside, you can't beat that.

Trust me, we don't care what you think.

:D

enjoy your 3 houses with stone foundation

Most of our cities are pretty dull user, we grew mostly during the industrial era.

why are you?

This gets posted often enough but very few resources are put into preservation (and hardly anyone gives a fuck). Majority of places are tearing down old buildings and making the same copy/paste buildings.

>enjoy your 3 houses with stone foundation

Ok, boomer

That's gorgeous, but holy shit the other buildings around it just ruin it.

Looks like anywhere in California with boat houses.

Do you want SOVL?

This is BS, europe sucks with the exception of having history. Hong Kong and Tokyo are pretty cool cities but in general american cities are the real deal.

I'd recommend checking out Strawberry Banke in Portsmouth.

It's an entirely preserved colonial part of the city. Just dirt paths and old streets. Like the colonial days.

Well on that front I just don't know how to argue with you, what an absurd perspective to hold.
Do those old castles ever get restored, rennovated or whatever? Like, if a big fucking chunk of rock just came down and ruined one of the turrets do they leave it like that for the genuine nature of the building or do they just put it back together

Very nice

I have been there :D lovely

Restoration is an integral part of preservation.

If your truck has an issue do you just not repair it because its "the genuine nature" of your vehicle?

Fuck no! You'd repair it. Same with old buildings. They should be repaired when necessary and that doesn't make them any less authentic. If anything it makes them more so.
