Julius Caesar wasn't an Emperor but his great Nephew was and took his name. Maxminus could refer to Thrax or Diocletian's co Emperor.

Octavian, Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius, Nero, Galba, Otho, Vitellus, Vespasian, Titus, Domitian, Nerva, Trajan, Hadrian, Antoninus Pius, Marcus Aurelius, Lucius Verus, Commodus, Elagabalus, Septimius Severus, Caracalla, Maximinus Thrax, Philip the Arab, Julius Nepos, Romulus (the last one)? probably a few more, I don't know much Roman history after the Nervan dynasty.

All of them but am not gonna

forgot Domitian, Maximian, Diocletian, Galerius, as well as Theodosius and Constantine, of course

Time to flex my muscles. This took me about 10 minutes to remember all of these ones

consuls and the republic was much more interesting and likable than the empire and emperors

I really enjoy Late Roman history. An Empire at it's military peak but it's economic and political decline in the West. Something about the end of what was the greatest Empire the world had ever known.

Augustus
Caesar
nero

No more

caesar
octavio
achilles

I like how sophisticated yet alien the political system of the republic was, as well as the stakes. the story of the gracchi brothers, caesars and gaius marius/sulla careers, etc etc, it all seems a lot more interesting than the politically stagnant state of the empire. the emperors might be way more wacky but the results of their actions had less long lasting effects on their careers by nature of their position

The late republic really was one of the most interesting times in history. Like you said, there were high stakes and one can see how the republic degraded over time as a result of a series of processes. These could've been fixed with reforms, but the due to the nature of the system itself and aristocratic greed it became impossible to do so, leading to collapse.

That guy from New Vegas, Czar or whatever

Caesar
Nero
Romulus
Caligula

no titus?

Heraclius is probably the most famous here (and the Muslim world).

>Heraclius
byzantine emperors are not roman emperors

I think the Empire has somewhat higher stakes to the entire Empire. The Republican style of government never really left and Emperors could be replaced or removed if people did not like them especially the Senate or Army. They never had a succession system like a Medieval kingdom but kept a Republican way of making and breaking Emperors.

Little ceasers

how many republican roman consuls can you name

I didn't remember him. Quite a few more I know and what they did but can't remember their names
>Spoke Latin
>Title was Augustus
>Commanded professional Legions
>Ruled with the same bureaucracy of the Late Roman Empire.
What do people in the Muslim world think of Heraclius?

Augustus
Hadrian the Semite smasher
Nero
Caligula
Nerva
Trajan
Vespasian
Marcus Aurelius
Aurelian (RIP my nigga)
Lucius Verus
Antoninus Pius
Constantine
Constantine II
Constantius II
Valerian
Majorianus

I don't think I can really name any Consuls other than the most famous like Scipio and Caesar. I know alot about the Empire but almost nothing about the Republic.

>the tranny emperor
what?

Brutus, Collatinus, Scipio, and Caesar lmao, I think I probably know others but not that they were consuls

He was a regular faggot not a trannie

How many Roman kings can you name?

no pompey magnus?

Romulus, Numa, Tullus, Ancus, Tarquin the Elder, Servius, and Tarquin the Proud

I'm very very weak at the civil war era. I know close to nothing about it, I know the three triumvirs but I don't know their history any time before Pompey was killed in Egypt.

it was a famous meme not too long ago here
HE WAS A CONSULE OF ROME, and so on
