Finland, Sweden and Estonia goverments has talked about lifting up M/S Estonia because Swedish divers found that big hole from side of it.
What if they finds out Russia made it sink? It means war and shit.

>What if they finds out Russia made it sink? It means war and shit.
It would rather mean that Swedish government covered it up, since they were very quick to kill the investigation and declare Estonia as sacred burial site and dump rocks on top of it. What do the Swedes really know?
What speaks against the conspiracy theories is that our more revent governments are parodically inept and such a secret (with politicians in on it) could NEVER be kept
Surely it would depend on whether it was deliberate or accidental
>It means war and shit.
Accept my condolences
One of my mom's friends had a sister who died on M/S Estonia. And my dad has worked with a man who was a diver during the rescue attempts. They dived down in search for people who could be trapped down there. Needless to say, he and his colleagues brought up countless of dead bodies from the depths that night. It's hard to imagine what they went through in those last moments.
And no, regardless of what we find out it won't imply "war" or anything. But the relatives of the people who were on that ship deserve to know the truth.
Damn. The whole Estonia accident was so fucked up. Listening to their last calls knowing that the guys died is so sad. They were real heroes trying to keep the ship going as long as possible even if it would take their life.
>It means war and shit.
So eesti is going to be the 87th federal subject of Russia?
Well, that explains why Swedes wanted to cover the ship with concrete
It's basically a graveyard so not wanting corpses to start floating out of it makes sense.
That's bullshit, your politicians keep classified military information all the time. I mean, you keep Russian submarine incidents secret all the time until it gets declassified.
There was too much Estonians inside the ship so Swedes wanted to concrete the ship.
Just in case, you know...
Just to be on the safe side...
Why would Russia have sunk (on purpose) some random Baltic cruise ship in the 90s?
Accident, perhaps. Or carelessness
>Finland, Sweden
Irrelevant countries.
one theory is that the SAF transported something with the ship
why would you say something like this, brother?
I hope estonia and finland demonstrates how retarded our politicians are.
It has been studied so many times by different people and it was because of a fault in the front doors and rough weather. There doesn't need to be some kind of conspiracy for a ship to sink.
>Swedes wanted to cover the ship with concrete
what
>why would you say something like this, brother?
The ship had been carrying Russian weapons cargo, something with ballistic missiles or space technology, some even claim nuclear stuff. According to the documentary there some sort of op by Swedish, British and Estonian intel agencies and Russians had told the MI-6 "stop or else" .
>It means war and shit.
It's been 26 years. It won't be war, it'll mean fucked up relations, as far as they're not already.
>t.
Time to dust off our nuke. I don't think we destroyed it when we signed the treaty since it wasn't armed.
Politicians are retarded everywhere, it's like a prerequisite for getting into the field in the first place.
The real question is, why do people believe that a swedish sub would crash on a cruiseship that's carrying soviet tech that has been consitently been allowed to go through customs
Some say a Swedish submarine was tasked to follow the ship.
Incompetence didn't cause this. There's just no way. A submarine would have to be surfaced for it to hit the ship right above the waterline. Look at OP's pic and look at old pictures of the ship to see the waterline.
Yes, but our politicians pretend like they're the most kind-hearted, caring, morally good, humanitarian virtuos people in the world. There's this mindset in Sweden that we're obviously the best at everything but as soon as you get check the statistics it's not even remotely true.
Same here. And some statistics are intentionally misinterpreted or even outright falsified.
They wanted to cover it in concrete yeah. They eventually did dump rocks there, but now the ship has moved and the hole is visible.
Our politicians wanted to place a concrete sarcophagus over it to protect the gravfrid. (Peace of the grave? I don't know ehat the english term would be) In hindsight it seems like some were pretty quick to push for this.
It's so tiring.

so is this something common or what? pouring concrete over shipwrecks
