This country seems depressing to me. The weather, the food, the overall ambiance... Am I right?

That's what drove them to invade other countries. Can't really blame them when their home country is shitty and drab.

I lived in Kent one year and even I found that a bit depressing although it's not the worst area

It's imperfection perfects it
UK is like France but with everything worse, except the economy.
Just like home, we should fuse
Haven't been to other parts of UK, but rural England is beautiful beyond belief an filled with the nicest people you'll ever meet.
It's an unpopular opinion, but I love London very much too.
This, we're the cosiest country
it's grim, summer is pretty nice in the south though
Exmoor? Good lad
The South West is the best place in Britain
I live in a semi-rural area and it's heaven. Beautiful scenery, no stress, hardly any crime. Just endless chill evenings enjoying life and talking it easy.
looking at it on google streetview invokes a feeling of dread and madness
free standing houses would be nicer but I assume there are parks and countryside not too far
looks clean and well maintained, decent enough, don't see the huge problem

>American doesn't understand the concept of bulk rubbish
meanwhile in the land of the free...
Buildings have a really depressing colouring.
But food and weather is great.
That color of brick is nice, you're just posting pictures of them on a dreary day that would make anything look bad.

No, Not at all. Watch two Britons in conversation and see how long it is til they smile or laugh over some joke or pleasantry, it wont be more than a few seconds . One of the charms about the British is that they have so little idea of their own virtues, and nowhere is this more true than with their happiness. You will laugh to hear me say it but they are the happiest people on earth. Honestly.
