Kinda sad how we cannot celebrate our national day anymore because now it's something to be ashamed of. What date should we know declare as national day so that everyone is happy? Something that's not a political statement, if possible.

We set the date on the day Columbus discovered America, since it marks the beginning of Spain entrance from the Middle Ages into the Modern Age.
