Is rice and bean a thing in Chile?
no they mostly eat some amerindian stuff
I mean as an everyday meal, or if you guys prefer pasta over rice
I ain't portuguese but I ate that exact thing yesterday
I'm sure I already wrote that, but for some reason I'm not seeing it, so I will write again to be sure.
I mean as an everyday meal, or if you guys prefer pasta like in
We eat something like this
We call it Bretton beans
What about this kind of beans? Is it normal or popular in Croatia?
got a recipe for the pic?
No, rice doesn't go with beans here. But rice is used with lentils (pic related) and chickpeas.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 kg of white beans
4 slices of pepperoni sausage
2 boxes of tomato sauce
2 water boxes
1 onion
2 tablespoons of corn oil
Salt, garlic, oregano and bay leaf to taste
PREPARATION MODE
Soak the beans for about 30 minutes
Meanwhile, in the pressure cooker, put the oil and fry the sausage in slices
Add the onion until it is soft, add the spices, minus the salt
Place as 2 boxes of sauce and 2 boxes of water and finally the white beans
Stir well and close the pan
When you get pressure, schedule 20 minutes
Open the pan, check if the beans are soft and taste the salt
If the beans are still a little stiff, see if you need a little more water to avoid reaching the bottom
dont have a pressure cooker. Don't beans take a long time to be soft when boiled?
leave them in water overnight
...
I see, thanks, I will just use a normal pan since I do not have a pressure cooker. btw when do you add the garlic and is it crushed?
You can add the garlic along with the onions. It's up to you if its crushed but i would crush
Thanks for the recipe, I'll see how it goes.
never ate that kind
Also as you are going to make this with a normal pan, i'll leave this link here, it will probably help you, use a translator

is this a common dish in brazil?
Basically use the ingredients of but prepare it as is saying, as in the first recipe you would need a pressure cooker.
says I need to boil the beans for 2 hours even after I leave them at night. So I should first boil them and in another pan just cook the other ingredients and pour it into the beans?
No, you will use a pan to cook It, the other pan it's just to heat up the water you will put in the pan for the beans. If you add cold water It could fuck up the beans
Yeah beans are a everyday dish, but we usually eat different kinds of bean, to variate. I always thought white beans as in OP looked like something that europeans could eat, apparently they do
ah so pour the hot water after I put the beans and let it cook until the beans are soft?
Yeah, worry about the onions and garlic thing after the beans are cooked. Put oil in a pan, then the garlic stuff (of course they need to be already crushed and fried), the salt and then add the beans, cook for some minutes more and its alright. Things as pepperoni aren't that essential, but garlic and onions are
I mean, for the quality of the bean alone, but If you want to eat something exactly like , then of course you will need to add the pepperoni. If its the first time you are dealing with beans I'd recommend you to take a look in some YouTube videos about cooking
Also, If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. I will sleep in something like 20 minutes
Looks like you took a shit in it.
