Being rich doesn't matter if only 0,1% of Chileans perceive 20% of the overall income of Chile. Uruguay is far more equal even if it's not as rich. You can have a decent life as an average person. You can go to university (and thus get a better paying job) or get healthcare for free without indebting yourself like Chileans do.
