This is my experince from living in Toronto. The bulk of shootings, firearm assualts and gang violence here are commited by black people. West africans are almost never involved and tend to be pretty educated here for the most part. The usual perpatrutors are nearly always either jamaicans, barbadians or somalis.

Jamaicians are probaly the most violent group here but they are very easy to get along with and genreally very intergated. Somalis are slightly less violent but impossible to get along with and not intergrated at all.

just to give some context we have a borough in toronto called North York that has a murder rate that is 5 times the national average and a firearm assault rate 6 times the national average and if you trace back all these shootings it's all black carribeans and somalis
