It's complete bs. We have slightly higher mathematical intelligence than Westerners in general and hence better pisa-results. Immigrants don't do any better in Finnish schools than anywhere else.

because they don't push the children to achieve like in many other countries. The goal of the whole elementary school is essentially to teach kids the basics (like reading, writing, simple math, socializing) and to provide a pleasant, safe environment for everyone. Happy children learn better.
From what I've seen schools in places like America or East Asian countries aren't like that.

I've read other things that say the high results were from older education systems, and the no homework no test no structure is causing declines in PISA.

Intense Asian education is probably the best for most. Maybe not the top tier of students who can benefit from more creativity but the average student could stand to work harder.

Because on average we get good results. I think we should aim to have a similar system that of the Dutch. Fuck average results, intelligent kids should be with other intelligent kids.

Well our suicide levels are on par with the US and France for example. Not terribly high (anymore) but definitely could be lower as well.

In Helsinki-area there are schools with 50% immigrants from all over the globe.
