I'm lucky because my brother was into the gym and had a friend who was a personal trainer and I just trained with them for months until I got correct form and some knowledge
wouldn't say I'm an expert but just go and don't worry too much. But don't egolift at the beginning and try to learn proper form.
If you seriously want to build muscle though I would suggest just doing 3 full body workouts/week by focussing on compound movements after 2 months of regular training (learning form)

honestly unless you're fucking huge calves size is mostly genetics. They're hard to grow. I only do one exercise and it's the calves machine-thingy
