If you saw a picture of this girl you'd wonder what the fuck the French were on about. She was a thin athletic blonde who ran everyday and was constantly outdoors. She was one of those girls that ate nothing but salads and smoothies with the occasional chicken or fish. She was absolutely healthy. But she was also like 5'8" and had kind of stocky shoulders and some hips on her. I guess that's the only reason the French had to say she was fat. That and that she was American.

And the fact that they've been identified and registered as a potential offender makes it easier to prevent them from doing something harmful. From my understanding, at that point they weren't directly working with police in the same way they were later on. At that point they were just hanging over all the substantial evidence they had for the police to make an arrest later.
