it was ok but i wouldn't rewatch it
Gilpin dragged it kicking and screaming into "not bad" territory
Isn't this just a literal copy of other movies about people being hunted for sport?
yeah but it was just fun without being preachy like the purge for example.
The main character was the best part, and her fight scene with Hilary Swank at the end.
That was so damn good, its pretty sad that an ironic, tongue in cheek flick managed to create a more realistic and nuanced female lead than most big budget movies in the past decade.
it was solely gilpin's performance. the script wasn't great but gilpin was stellar.

>without being preachy
really? i read the opposite.
i wouldn't call it preachy so much as incredibly unsubtle satire
I got the same vibe that they tried to make fun of the left and the right but failed
I don't hold many strong, political beliefs. So I couldn't tell if those bits of dialogue really landed. Felt like I stumbled into an off-topic thread on /v to be honest.
What's he eating?
They made fun of the left and right, but the left got mad and called it unsubtle because they aren't used to movies making fun of them at all.
cool i guess i'll watch it then
