So what did YOU think about the greatest animation series since Adventure Time season 3
Midnight gospel
dude... what if weed n shit.... lmao
The best episode is the last episode with his mom
The visuals are pretty interesting and there's some really good animation but I feel like the podcast audio detracts from what's on screen. I liked the bit of Clancy going to meet his neighbor for since it gave structure to the dialogue, I'd much rather have a show like that instead
I definitely felt like two stories were being told as I was watching the show and that was kind of distracting but I enjoyed both the discussion and the animation.
>So adhd ridden that you need random visuals with an audio podcast
Stop posting this shitty show on here.
>Charles Duncan Trussell is an American actor, voice actor and stand-up comic, known for his podcast The Duncan Trussell Family Hour, his appearances on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast and Joe Rogan Questions Everything, and the Netflix series The Midnight Gospel.
Why the fuck would I want to watch a show based around this guy rambling? If it were Pendleton Ward's thoughts then I'd be interested, but not this literal who
It's pretty cool, I listen to his podcast, so the cool animation is just a bonus.
basically this, the animation and surrealism detract from the dialogue
Hot garbage, my friend told me to watch it and it was exactly what I expected. Duncan Trussell making shallow self-indulgent "commentary" about retarded shit set against shitty animation and lame jokes.
I tried the "feel the inside of your finger" experiment and it worked, I could feel tingles in both my arms and leg, was pretty dope order some mushrooms later
>random visuals
Are normies really this incapable of symbology and metaphor? Every single episode related closely to the podcast element.
It was Pendleton's idea to animate Duncan's show, he came to Duncan with it. Like it or not this is what was needed to get the guy to animate more, you can't have it both ways. This was the inspiration for him.
whatever qualm you might have the animation is definitely not shitty by any metric
So rewatch it and focus more on the other aspect this time around.
>DUDE DRUGS LMAO
>like spirits, vibes and energy man
It's really sad that your kneejerk reaction to buddhism 101 and psychedelics will make yuo miss possibly the most kino 2 episodes of animation of the last decade (e5 and e8)
>It's really sad that your kneejerk reaction to buddhism 101 and psychedelics will make yuo miss possibly the most kino 2 episodes of animation of the last decade (e5 and e8)
Trolls fill the void left by lack of personality and attention by getting under people's skin.
Have sex and grow up
I know you will end up watching at least those 2 episodes and will be shitposting about how not liking the show is leddit-tier this time tomorrow
The guy's podcast is incredible . the fact that people like you dont know about him makes him even better
The fanbase of this show is probably the last group of people that would get upset over such weak banter. Maybe you should grow up bud.
I saw the first ep I dont need to hear to hippies rambling about nothing
You don't like it? Cool, that's good know.
I will acknowledge that the first ep is pretty weak aside from a couple animation segments. The zombie song is decent. Just go watch e 5 and 8.
Exactly how I felt about it, didn’t feel like a real show until the episode that didn’t center around a bullshit conversation. And then the conversation he does have at the end is short and actually has something to do with his growth as a character
I think calling it a show is almost a disservice, it's more an art piece. Entertaining the viewer isn't the most important thing, it's about making the viewer think about things that don't put any thought toward or to give a perspective they may not have considered.
>philosophy 101 tier comments
>usually not even that, more like someone browsed philosophy pages on wikipedia then got high and rambled on them
>superfluous cursing
>stoner cadence and 'humor'
>heavily implied weed dude woah drugs maaaan
>animation is choppy and ugly
This is based on ep. 5, the one you've been recommending the whole thread. For positives some of the animation concepts are kind of interesting but the whole art style is off-putting and ugly, probably intentionally so. The dialogue is utter trash and anyone who thinks it is deep or profound or even interesting should turn off the tv and read.
Superjail had vastly superior animation in all respects. That show went completely nuts with it. MG feels like a watered down ripoff with hippie drivel on top.
>animated on 3s like anime
>so choppy it looks like 4s
I tried it before when i was high as shit and loved it. I felt like it made me higher.
It isn't anythiing deep or geat but you can watch and enjoy it. currently at episode 4
>posting a tv show on Zig Forums
>really good animation
>lazy calarts garbage
I think you're confused..
Damien Echols raped and killed three young boys in 1993. Why was he on this show?
yeah maaan, this trust-fund druggie brat is totally obscure and underground!
his little LA """comedy""" butt buddies can't keep him off of their gay podcasts, everyone knows who he is.
The fact that you need it to be deep and profound instead of just amusing shit-shooting between curious minds is a YOU problem. This show is unironically filtering whether or not you have friends who you've gotten drunk/stoned and talked nonsense in the woods with. I watched the show stone cold sober too.
Write the joe rogan guest episode
Not caring for the style is irrelevant to whether or not the animation is impressive from a technical level, and MG is.
Is this the show that gave a platform to a literal child killing satanist?
because he is based and redpilled, as you alude to.
This. Le Midnight Boys threads belong on Zig Forums
Man, buckle up, it only gets better. Last episode will have you in tears.
maybe don't bump it then you fag
