I wish it was just 2 hours of actors playing DnD. Patrick Stewart should be the DM

We already have Critical Role and D&Diesel. I'm sure some helpful user will be along to suggest other/better D&D series.

I know. Someone also told me of Hamonquest.

I'll check it out, but sadly I don't have time to watch hundreds of episodes at 3-4 hours per episode (in the case of Critical Role).

On the thread topic, I see they did one of these in 2000. I guess Hollywood really doesn't have any new ideas.

I watched on tv when I was a kid. The movie didn't take itself too serious but it was alright,

I have to believe Jeremy Irons lost a bet or something to be in it.

i dont get the appeal of d&d, id rather play a rpg by myself

I wonder if the blonde dude ever fucked both of the girls

D&D lets you get off script and improvise. The key is finding good players and especially a good DM.

>get to drink beer with your buds
>talk shit
>eat pizza
It's lots of fun if you have a good crew

Character class: Acrobat
baka as fuck. why do they always do that?

don't forget my boy Bruce
goddamn, D&D was the best worst movie I've ever seen probably
the remake can't possibly live up to the hype

it's also a great way to lose friends.

>all male
Nice

It could also be a movie like this youtube.com/watch?v=YQTn1QxCZ2s

If you lose a friend over DnD then at least one of you was too much of a sperg for the friendship to begin with.

How'd you lose friends at D&D? Do tell

You could make a decent low budget comedy about a D&D game but you would need to allow the racist and sexist humor that normally happens. Ran a game once where they where helping a Paladin find an artifact that would cure a disease that was turning men into degenerate beasts. At the end they find the artifact that can generate lightning, the Paladin reveals his name as Sir Michael Pence.

You don't, you may have issues with someone in the game that you only know through a game.

Not that OP but I've lost a 'friend' through dnd before, he kept sperging out and telling me (DM) that I was pigeonholing his roleplaying (I wasn't) because I started keeping track of his spell charges after he tried to burn down every single building we came across for 3 sessions in a row. He flipped out and called me a tyrant and removed himself from the group.

>when the party does something dumb so you kill off the character of the guy who came up with it so he fucks your wife while you're at the annual sales meeting

Damn son, if that happened your wife a shit

Played a few times years ago. Had an over all good experience but some one was always a faggot and we didn't last more than a couple sessions. Would try again if I had the time/knew people that still played.

>if I had the time
nigger you're posting on Zig Forums lmao

That would be an amazing movie, cutting from scenes where the actors are in a basement playing and scenes where the action is being recreated would be kino.
I never played D&D in my life and i feel a little bad about it. Non of my friends used to play and it wasnt popular in my home town.
I bet that the kids who used to play it had tons of fun.
I understand that now kids just exchanged board games and stuff like that with mmorpg gaming. But as a almost 40 y/o guy, playing that shit as a kid was probably lit.

DnD is pretty strong nowadays. I'm sure you could find a group in your city.

nah, i live in a small village in the mayan jungle in south mexico. im fucked.

>nigger you're posting on Zig Forums lmao
True but shitposting while I watch my kiddos and setting aside an entire evening to play dnd are two different things fAm

they really aren't, you spend categorically more time on here than you would playing DnD over TTS or Roll20, and neither would prevent you watching your kids.

>having kids

what a retard
