Ethiopia
of course our egyptian brothers
ethiopia
Long live the awaited Pharaoh, Ramses IV, who sat on the throne in 2014.
Depends on what the issue is, if it's Egypt using outdated colonial water allocation treaties to try and hog the Nile to themselves then I'm on Ethiopia's side since those aren't fair to them, if it's Ethiopia trying to fill the dam too quickly and deprive Egypt of their lifeline and causing a socioeconomic disaster then I side with Egypt.
Is Egypt going to start secretly supporting and funding the Tigrays?
Also, why is Eritrea siding with the Ethiopians if, ethnically, they're quite similar to the Tigrays?
VGH... the Moroccan BVLLS are on our side. Who the fuck can stand against us now?
ethiopia, egypt doesnt own the nile they can go fuck themselves.
Ethiopia has 12 river basins, user.
Ethiopia is home to over 20 lakes, most of which are a result of the Great African Rift Valley which extends from Jordan all the way down to Mozambique in Southern Africa. The rift has spawned some of the largest, deepest and oldest lakes in the world.
For anyone of you asking yourself what that mark on the forehead of the dude on the left, it’s a callus formed from praying all day, islamic style.
>Ethiopia start thinking they're hot shit and in charge of Eastern Africa
>threaten Egypt's water supply
>Egypt tries to talk them out of it, negotiations fail
aljazeera.com
>a day later after refusing Egyptian offers Ethiopia fucking self-destructs and starts a civil war
Which side is Sudan on?
imagine my surprise to learn a minority that constitutes 6% of the country was causing problems
those people should work together with their neighbors instead of moving toward self destruction
Ethiopia, coz fuck egypt
wesely willis had such a mark from head butting his fans at his concerts
Used to be on Ethiopia's side until they realized that this is all a scam to reduce our water share, not to produce electricity as Ethiopia stated at first.
Reminder that Tigray already put down Ethiopia government in the past
The ethiopian fear the tigray bull
>Ethiopia diasopra
It's so tiresome, Anons.
Based.
>Units from the Egyptian Air Force and special forces, ‘Thunderbolt’ have arrived in Sudan’s Marwa air base, to conduct a joint air exercise, dubbed 'The Nile Eagles 1' with the Sudanese Air Force.
Woah! Ethiopian bros. We got too cocky it seems.

Why isn't Egypt and Sudan taking advantage of this golden opportunity to support the Tigrays and destabilize Ethiopia further?
But lakes don't generate power which is the primary purpose of the GERD, I think the two countries could potentially reach an agreement by which Egypt keeps a large share of the Nile water while delivering power that it generates with its gas to Ethiopia.
I agree that Ethiopia's relative abundance of water resources need to be taken into account when it come to dividing the Nile's water between the countries.
user, no one goes for hydroelectricity anymore. This is very inefficient and the dam is way too big, It could have been much smaller and produced the same amount of energy.
The dam is literally on the outskirts of Ethiopia 15 km away from Sudan while being as far as possible from Addis Ababa. How are they going to deliver the energy to there, user? How much will it cost?
why don't ethiopians just poison the river?
Your IQ is room temp. That's a whole ass river not your local water canal, roach.
because they're not turks
Reminder Ethiopia got ass raped by 35,000 Somali soldiers and they took over the entire country in 1 week until they begged the USSR for help
Reminder that Ethiopia got ass raped by 2500 Eritrean guerrilla fighters
Reminder that Ethiopia got BTFO by Italian BVLLS and begged the west for help
I'm wonder the same.
Are we about to witness a large-scale regional war between Egypt+Sudan and Ethiopia+Eritrea? Somalia would probably join the Egyptian side (they hate Ethiopia), Turkey I guess would probably join the Ethiopian side simply because they're at odds with the Egyptians, Saudis and Israelis would probably side with Egypt and Sudan, the a new Biden administration with the countless war hawks in DC will probably be itching for a war after 4 years of relative peace, and will perhaps join on the Egyptian side (especially since Ethiopia is buddy-buddy with China).
Imagine the absolute fucking chaos.
Sadly, Ethiopia will be Balkanized before all of that, and new countries like Tigray will side with us to get more land of what was Ethiopia i the past.
Holy based.
no one
i would sell to both side weapons
>no one goes for hydroelectricity anymore
That's just not true, hydro is massive in China, Canada, Brazil, etc. if you have rivers and a mountainous terrain it's a very good idea to make use of them. Ethiopia absolutely depends on hydro for its power generation, and they've been investing in this massively, this isn't some anti-Egypt conspiracy
en.wikipedia.org
>In the year 2014 Ethiopia had – according to an estimation of the CIA – an annual electricity production of 9.5 TWh and was at position 101 worldwide. The total installed capacity was ~2,4 GWe (position 104).[2] In July 2017, the country had a total installed capacity of ~4.3 GWe and an annual electricity production of 12.5 TWh.[3]
>In 2017, hydropower has the largest share with 89.5% of the installed capacity and with 93,4% of the annual electricity production.
>This is very inefficient and the dam is way too big, It could have been much smaller and produced the same amount of energy.
What's your source on that?
>How are they going to deliver the energy to there, user? How much will it cost?
Not much, especially when you consider that this dam is a multi-billion investment that's so supposed to double their power generation capacity, building some infrastructure to transfer that power is a drop in the bucket, and they don't need to build it all the way to Addis Ababa, just link up with the nearest outpost in the network, there's already a few power stations not too long from where this planned dam is (look at the wiki article's map).
>that forehead dark spot
Don't tell me the stuff about Egyptians getting prayer rug burn is real
Egypt chads
Maybe, but the central government might also be able to just barely hang on to the country. Currently only the Tigrays are in open rebellion; the Oromos haven't actually taken up arms yet and are still only in the "bitching and whining" phase.
Not sure, there are pros and cons to either side winning, I'll have to calculate this in depth
>Ethiopia+Eritrea
These countries HATE each other lmao, Eritrea might join the war just for the chance to attack Ethiopia.
>What's your source on that?
The humungous size of the lake they wanna form behind the dam.
Why did they start building the dam in 2011, user?
VGH... my countrymen can chew steel.
Tigray was in the "bitching and whining" at one point. |They are just not as strong as Tigray, so they are waiting for the right time to move.
