many of those old people are religious now, especially since they're approaching death, and the orthodox church openly calls for a return to the monarchy. during old people times you could only vote for the commie party, as a show of approval, since they still approve of it, they still vote for it. but i'm sure they would be just as "mindlessly supporting" a monarchy
also the former communist party i hear has distanced itself from communism, not actually call for it anymore, tho yes there are die hard commies wearing red stars and shit, but it's an extremely minority
