It’s simply Aramaic script, I don’t think Hadith have ever been used to translate the Quran. Quran has been used to write tafseer/interpretations on Hadiths but I don’t think it’s the other way around, which it shouldn’t be. Are you not muslim? I'm an atheist, but interested in this topic from a scholarly perspective. The argument that guy makes is a lot of words in the Quran that have traditionally interpretations like "salat", "zakat", and "Ramadan" originally meant entirely different things. It's convincing but I have some doubts about it, mainly because he hasn't published his research in any research journals to make it available for critique by other historians.
