I don't think anybody in the west could work 70+ hours a week without human rights activists raining on the business and shutting it down.

Your pic says nothing about overworking. For all we know, they died of natural causes

the worst work cultures on earth created by shitty confucianism
so only 7 people who work have died this year? be stupid in another thread, the article is clearly tying it to overwork

C*nfucianism, cultural revolution was a good thing btw

It's mostly a jap thing.

This too
Confucionism is a cancer

Explain how confucianism makes people that dedicated to work.

I will admit your agreement, if you give money freely each month.

the burden of living in an economic booming country

sent :)

We have a hierarchical society.
So if our superior tells us to wage slave then we must obey.
The only way out is to become your own boss

Thank you. I follow you. :)

I guess you can call yourself... Asian Boss.

*I should learn and see directly something so that I could know it.

Most people I know work at least 60, a lot of times 72.

We DID see this in western countries, hundreds of years ago before socialist policies and labor laws improved things. The asians however are trapped in hyper capitalist economies due to their exploitation by the neo-imperialist west.

>have to deal with overpopulation and raiders for all of history
>"Watashi! lets work in the rice fields all day long without rest so we dont starve to death"
>"zhonguyo! the Mongols are raiding and raping again, hurry, lets work day and nigth and build a wall very fast"
repeat that for some thousands of years and you have your answer

It’s too abstract.

Not really. China has the 996 system. They work 72 hours a week.

how does that even work? like if the amount of work you do is the only thing that matters to you, so much so that you work yourself to death, how about any other side of life? do you fuck people over in order to get a higher position? do you have any social contacts, or do they work themselves to death too?

like where are the safety nets, and why do people work themselves to death. _why_? is it actually suicidal behaviour, considering that there are more elaborate ways to gain status and/or money than destroying all other sectors of your life in order to just clock in the most hours. maybe they just want to die?

It would make sense if they live in a big city with unaffordable housing and a family (wife, kids, parents) you have to provide for as the sole breadwinner. Supporting all those people while having a low paying job in a city that you can't afford. Might explain why the suicide rates are so extraordinarily high too.

Probably because it's either work 72 hours a day, or you don't work a job at all. SK doesn't have safety nets.

Asians think that effort expended real or perceived is the same thing as efficiency

thats a hilarious joke

What is pr*tty culture for $400

For me it's 40 hours a week plus 10 hours paid overtime

What else should a worker do?

I worked 80 to 100 hours per week for 3 years straight.

Freelance?

Wow. More communist pseudo-babble nonsense. Not even accurate babble at that. What a surprise.
