I live in São Paulo and most people here are brown (Italian/arab tier). The North region is pretty much mestizo, and Mato Grosso is probably whiter since they received a lot of germanic farmers from the South.

No. Racial mixing was far less common in the United States, historically. My State was basically 100% White until about a hundred years ago. The average White American is probably about 99% European + maybe 1% Native American or something.

Southern Spain is a quite diverse place, most southerners lived in the borders and were the ones pushing futher south during "muh reconquista" . They took advantage of the situation and settled in one of the most fertile region in Iberia, then they started replicating like a cancer. The vast majority are mixed, that is true, but our population is also 220 million. If only 10% of Brazilians are "pure white", that's still 20 million people (population of the Netherlands)
