Spanish and maybe Nordic languages. Mandarin is cool but I can't be bothered to memorize thousands of characters without an incentive. A qt Chinese exchange student wanted to teach me last summer but I had a job in another city.

It's only spoken in Malasia and Indonesia so unless you have a particular interest on those two countries i don't see why you would learn it

I think young people in city know basic English but old people or people in rural areas are pretty bad
If you plan on living in Vietnam, you should learn Vietnamese but it's really hard and it's useless outside of Vietnam
