Looks great, never played metroid.

Yas another strong female protagonist movie!!!
I hope metroids are replaced with white males so she can dab on them

>not Debicki
pass

I think this could be awesome. It's literally going to be the Batman of video game movies, which ultimately means it's going to be a somewhat above average movie, and I'm fine with that. It'll kick a satisfactory amount of ass is what I'm saying.

Shouldve been emily blunt

>Brie Larson
pass

Samus Returns above Fusion?
No way..I tried to beat SR twice and I just couldn't be bothered. Fusion was a delightful experience in comparison.

there is never going to be a metroid movie

>zero mission
>best
no, zero mission is a mid tier metroid at best
the top metroids are super, prime and echos
also metroid 2 > am2r = sr

>ZM the best
>When they introduce Power Bombs literally 30 seconds before the final boss, and they serve no purpose other than to backtrack around the entire game world to collect more useless Power Bomb expansions for 100%.
Every game after the first three has fucked up item placement. Fusion and SR did this with the Screw Attack and Baby Metroid too.

fusion is easily the best of the 2d metroids

Nah, Super is the best of the 3D Games, then Fusion, then Zero.
Prime is the best of the 3D games, then Prime 3.
Zero mission is such a great introductory game for newcomers though, and I love it for that reason alone. If you've never played Metroid, play Zero Mission. You won't be disappointed.

me neither, and why is there a girl in this pic, Metroid would kick so much ass in his film

Samus should be a violent, cold, unfeeling robot that kills everything in their path. Them trying to humanize her and make her a waifu just resulted in pure trash.

>not a gif where ridley opens his eyes pissed off

gay

>Prime 3 even with Prime 2
Based, someone knows what they're doing

>Samus should be a violent, cold, unfeeling robot that kills everything in their path.
Congratulations, you've ended the series at Metroid 2.

Give it to me straight, bros. Is Samus tall or not?

The problem is the only good back story for Samus was a fucking manga from the 90s. The first time they tried to introduce her lore into a game was Other M and made her a baby. Chronologically, she has been on SIX MAJOR MISSIONS. How the FUCK are you not going to be hardened by now.

However, I do like the idea she's scared of Ridley considering he wont fucking stay dead. I'd be scared shitless too. But since I'm 90 percent sure Samus Returns is canon, this would be the 5th time fighting Ridley, albeit a clone, in Other M. By now you'd think Samus would catch on that the space pirates aren't going to let him die. Would have been kino if she got freaked out in Samus returns, not other M level, but just spooked he's back
This. That single cut scene in Samus returns of her sparing the baby was great and showed she had some humanity. But then other m fucks it all up and makes her a softie cunt with daddy issues who needs approval for everything.

Please kill yourself you pathetic waste of space

No Brie Larson please

I can't wait until this movie comes out and definitively destroys the video game movie curse and gets the ball rolling Pikmin and Zelda movies..

How do you make a movie out of games with minimal/no dialogue, a single character, and no major story progression? They're about exploration.

Samus and a bunch of Fed Troopers explore Zebes and contend with Ridley, the metroids, and the metroids, and discover some secret deep within the bowels of the planet.

Samus childhood on board the spacestation is explored in further detail, we see what life was like for her before and what brought humanity to that station, and what her scientist parents were up to before space pirates raided it. Also, the wise old Chozo is just like the rat sage thing from that animated kids movie about the rats that're living in a field under threat from a local farmer.

Nostodamus.
The Rats of Nym. That was the movie..I think. If you've seen the movie and you've played Metroid, ya'll should know exactly what I'm talkin' bout, be all ike, "shit, yeah, damn nigga, I can definitely see how something like that would end up in a hypothetical metroid movie..now I'm excited.."

>samus and a bunch of fed troopers
>a bunch of fed troopers

the federation force is fucking useless, but you're right, gotta have a wise cracking nigger, faggot nerd, and strong independent woman . It's unfortunate that no studio would have the balls to make the movie where it's just Samus going around Zebes, recreating Zero Mission. You can fucking beat Metroid legitimately in 1:30 minutes, they could easily fit that into a movie.
>Samus childhood on board the spacestation is explored in further detail, we see what life was like for her before and what brought humanity to that station, and what her scientist parents were up to before space pirates raided it
Holy fuck what a snooze fest. Nobody gives a flying fuck about any of that, people want to see cool alien fights and Samus kick ass against baddies, not a shitty art film on a space colony that has a moral to it. Metroid should be the ultimate consoomer movie, just like the games where you are drip fed lore.

Go the Metroid Prime route.
Any story you glean is from the eyes of others, like the feds shitting on the guy who was convinced Samus was real

>Holy fuck what a snooze fest. Nobody gives a flying fuck about any of that, people want to see cool alien fights and Samus kick ass against baddies,

Surely, you could have some fun, interesting, and bad ass scenes involving her living life on board a space station that has everything, and seeing her kid self hiding from the chaos that is a bunch of space pirates showing up and killing people.

What fuels her hatred of Ridley? The knowledge he killed her friends and family. Should we see her living through this event?

I personally image a team of Fed soliders that're reminiscent of the squad from the Doom movie, but just dont in a better way. A wise crackin' black guy? Hell's yeah. Hard as nails Jesus freak? I don't see why not...

[citation needed]

fixed that for you

>casting brie
ngmi

Please keep Brie away from it. I'm so sick of her trying to meme herself into the role.

>Surely, you could have some fun, interesting, and bad ass scenes involving her living life on board a space station that has everything, and seeing her kid self hiding from the chaos that is a bunch of space pirates showing up and killing people.

Ok but know what would be cooler? A bad ass bounty hunter in a wicked alien suit blasting wacky space pirate monsters to stop the brain of a rick and morty fan.

>What fuels her hatred of Ridley? The knowledge he killed her friends and family. Should we see her living through this event?

Why the fuck would the movie have to explain that in more than a flashback at most? Do you need a 20 minute scene to explain to the audience why someone hates someone else for killing everyone they know and love? Gee that's a real brain buster, we a long drawn out scene explaining this!

>I personally image a team of Fed soliders that're reminiscent of the squad from the Doom movie, but just dont in a better way. A wise crackin' black guy? Hell's yeah. Hard as nails Jesus freak? I don't see why not...

Am I being trolled? Like if you are trolling I'm actually tilted, have you ever played the games? The reason why Samus is so cool and appealing is she takes down all the baddies by herself and tells the Federation force to fuck off, that she can handle it. That's why people love her, the lone wolf who kicks ass and doesn't rely on nigger nerd hacking the space terminal.
Bries a cunt who can't act. That's the perfect role for Samus, who has always been portrayed (fuck you other m fags) as stone cold and doesn't care about anything other than the mission, showing slight glimpses of humanity here and there.

>not a shitty art film on a space colony that has a moral to it.

I think you are gravely misunderstanding my intent here. I'm talking like a tongue-in-cheek thing where you see her and her pals skipping school to venture out to the 'holodeck' to play baseball. They step inside a giant dome on one end of the station that should be off limits to school children, and a panel pops up that let's you select from a list what kinda sports arena you'd like to transform it into in the name of having a game of whatever. So she chooses baseball from a list of options and then it turns into a baseball field, and there's a great opportunity her for a funny visual gag about sports that're now dead because it's the future..

8/10, you got me pretty mad. You should do this full time.

>brie can't act so shes good for a role

Attached: what_a_dumb_nigger.jpg (720x480, 153.6K)

Oh, right, that Pikachu shit came out lmao

>The reason why Samus is so cool and appealing is she takes down all the baddies by herself and tells the Federation force to fuck off, that she can handle it.

Yeah, but we're not going to get a movie with no other characters in it, because Hollywood won't make that movie, and you can still have her upstage them. There could be a general character too like Adirmal Dane or Adam Malkovich's consciousness.

>Why the fuck would the movie have to explain that in more than a flashback at most? Do you need a 20 minute scene ?

Why do you call the necessity of this into question, when like, that is literally the origin of Batman, and Batman exists and everyone loves Batman? Also, who said it had to be twenty minutes long, when it could just be quickly alluded to at the start before the action kicks off? You're going to have to have flashblacks to her time with Chozo too in there somewhere too like...

Bounty hunters, and Samus, go places they don't want to, to do things they don't want to, with no emotion or care for those things, for money.

That is Brie Larson incarnate.
