For me? It's Babylon 5.

Every day when I wake up the first thing I do is thank God that this show slipped under the radar of the normalfags. I couldn't live in a world where this show gets raped for jew bucks with endless remakes and sequels.
>minbari are getting weaker because of racemixing with humans
>humans must racemix with minbari in order to survive
>shadows
>spectre
>barbara spectre
Really makes you think.
I wish it was popular enough to get a special effects remaster like TNG. They could shovel Crusade level shit out afterward but I'd get what I want.
sorry, goy. you can't go to the vorlon homeworld for another 1million years because you are not ready
IT WAS THE DAWN OF THE THIRD AGE OF MANKIND
Ya that sucks, I heard it never happened because they lost the originals or something but I'm not sure. They took it off of amazon for some fucking reason they can't keep it streaming anywhere. Those dvds are going to break down eventually. Fucking stupid you have to break the law to get a permanent copy.
I feel the same way about Farscape, and I think that's why I tend to gravitate towards lesser known shows movie movies, lower chance of it getting remade/rebooted/whatever
Farscape and Bab5 are how I can tell if people have done their tv sci-fi homework.
>Farscape
Retarded series.
>my name is john
>i travelled hundreds of lightyears into unknown space
>and i talk with a stupid american accent and use colloquial earth phrases in every sentence and somehow the aliens of this universe don't understand me but i will continue to do it anyway
Fun fact, they play it on Comet every night. I pick it up on the digital antenna at my house.
>B5
>Stargate
>Nugalactica
>On weeknights
>Old school monster movies and scifi on weekends, sometimes newer stuff
>Marathons on holidays
Then there's Heroes and Icons
>All trek ToS through enterprise every night
>90's crime and action in the daytime and on weekends
It's like the glory days of TV.
I hope you are merely pretending to be retarded.
The show had Muppets. I think if you didn't get the intentional tropes that's on you. To each their own.
>Ragging on the best southern boy in scifi
Get out, Scorpy.
you're either painfully stupid or painfully unfunny
fuck narns
fuck minbari
fuck vorlons
fuck humans
centauri forever
What was the point of the alien weapons platform on the planet they were orbiting? They never even used it.
Yeah, for me it's Farscape too lads.
DS9, TNG, The Expanse and BSG were all great too. Think Babylon 5 and maybe Stargate are about the only big hitters I have left to try, and Stargate, for whatever reason, doesn't seem too appealing to me. Any other suggestions?
MISTER GARIBALDI
I'd give Stargate a few episodes, it really is fun
I thought the same about the SG1, but it's surprisingly good despite the silly premise.
what in cotton pickin' tarnation are you talking about scorpio?
>what is cotton?
>what is pickin?
>what is tarnation?
Hey, dumdum, are you deaf?
>what is a dumdum?
Wow this is like talking to a wall
>why would you talk to a wall? guards, this moron is derranged. shoot him
Ayo *smacks lips* can i at least get some biscuits and gravy before you bury me 6 feet under?
>why would we bury you? we will shoot you out of an airlock
>and what does feet have to do with anything?
>biscuits and gravy? are they types of mercy? you will find none here. fire.
It was used as an observation post for the whole galaxy. Also, the defensive power of it got used to protect B5 when the Shadow War went on and Draal gave authority over to Sheridan.
It guaranteed B5 sovereignty whether it had to blow up anything or not.
B5 was the only scifi show to take a chance on every kid's dream weapon: VR kungfu energy blasters.
youtube.com
It didn't work, but it's still hilarious decades later.
Just watch them both faggot they are masterpieces.
>10 episiodes later
JOHN, JUST TELL ME ABOUT THE WORMHOLES
I HAVE PIZZA AND MARGARITAS
Yeah I think the 90s/early00s cheesiness would ward off most normalfags (and that's a good thing!). Just look at that Stargate Origins shit, look at how they massacred my boy
Lexx is strange as fuck but worth the first two seasons. At least get to the Stanley Tweedle dance. Firefly and Dark Matter for more camp.
B5 and Stargate are legends though. The other minor stuff won't measure up to them.
babylon 5 is DS9 with a tenth of the budget but ten times the comfy. stargate sg1 is great, the first season is a bit rough and story of the week world building, but that's true of most sci-fi shows. then the cast of farscape join in for the last couple of seasons.
BSG is based too.
Amazon had this and Battlestar which I had never seen before, at least I found them there a little bit before they got removed. Cunts.
WORM
HOLES
WORM HOLES!
Use 1 more Earth colloquialism... I promise I will shoot you. We aren't on Earth, I have no idea what you are saying. You are grieving everybody on the ship. Stop. Please.
>hey Aeryn, you horny bitch, u wanna bump uglies while I recite superbowl statistics and eat cornchips off your tits?
>Yes
I've consumed a lot of sci franchises I hadn't touched during the lockdown. Opinions in order I consumed:
W40k (read two Ciaphas Cain novels, Eisenhorn Xenos, played DOW I, Space Marine, and Fire Warrior): pure cringe
Star Trek TNG: mostly based but I admittedly did skip about a quarter of the episodes because I heard they were bad (and of the movie only watched First Contact); probably the most worthy media consumed in the past few months
Call of Duty sci fi installments (Infinite, Advanced, Blops II, Blops III): actually surprisingly based, I have no idea why Infinite in particular acquired a reputation as the bad one, it's fun.
Firefly: it's alright, Whedon didn't go too over the top with quips and his other trademarks, but I don't think it was canceled before its time really; by the movie I thought it was kind of out of energy, at most I'd have given it one more season.
Futurama: I'd only seen like a quarter of the episodes on re-runs and finally watched them all. Seasons 1-4 are surprisingly really, really good. Just solid ensemble comedies and quite clever. There was a noticeable downgrade in season 5-7 with more vulgar humor and reliance on current events, at that point it's equal parts based and cringe, but the first half of the show was so good that I'd still call it good overall.
Disney Star Wars EU: Mandalorian was unremarkable but good, I tried to give TCW a chance but the potentially interesting plot points were just buried under too much kiddy shit and a painful art design, the Darth Vader comics were fine, Solo was fine, BF2 was fine, Rebels is straight garbage, Fallen Order is really good but still just "Diet Sekiro."
Men In Black: I actually really like all three of the original films, even the second, due to the novel premise and charisma of the leads, though the fourth can rot in hell.
Star Trek DS9: meh so far, still on season 1. I hear it gets way better later.
was gonna watch Babylon 5 but it's not on Hulu, Netflix, or Amazon.
