Are there any good documentaries about the homelessness epidemic? I want to understand it better.

Bumfights
Read about it then you fucking moron.
Why do zoomers think movies are educational? Has youtube ruined the generation? Why can they not accomplish simple tasks without first watching a tutorial?
Seattle is Dying
Carts of Darkness. It's from the good old days before the opioid epidemic made things a lot worse but a great movie.
I'm homeless now, I stay in the shelter most nights and when I'm working a job I'll stay in a run down motel or airbnb. I refuse to beg for money or collect disability, I think homeless that do that are complete garbage. Piece of advice if any of you guys ever find yourself homeless, keep to yourself. Other people present an unneeded element of danger.
What's not to understand? We closed down the mental institutions in favor of "community care" but it turns out that's retarded, it doesn't work, and for some reason no one wants to admit it.
They are sadly all on youtube, which means if you post them in the OP, you'll get a 3 day vacation because YOUTUBE BAD AND NOT TELEVISION & FILM RELATED!!!! Same with the SBSK youtube videos and videos that interview and document people with rare disabilities.
I was homeless for almost 10 years. All you have to do is find a way to get a job. But I was drinking and doing drugs too, so it took me a while
>want to understand it better
>there are enough empty homes in the US to house the entire homeless population more than 5 times over but the value of these homes is dictated by scarcity so those banks and other institutions which leverage their own debt against owning and investing in real estate also invest in legislation to prevent the ease of and profitability of building cheap homes
>it's not that these financial institutions are directly buying cheap land and refusing to build on it
>they are merely creating as many impediments as possible for this to get done because every home built under the mean value of the homes and mortgages they already own only helps to devalue their institution and every dollar they've already lended against this artificially inflated scarcity
There, I saved you time. Post titties please.
I go through pretty much the same cycle again and again
>become homeless
If there's a way out my brain is too addled to think of one.
>no money for booze
>job.jpg
>job is miserable and stressful
>buy booze to cope with stressful job
>quit job and drink all day
>become homeless
...
>mfw anyone anywhere watches any form of documentary other than pure nature (i.e. About wildlife, not climate change shit) and genuinely considers it impartial
My fiancée just watched I, Tonya and was 100% convinced she was innocent and got fucked over.
Except IRL the fbi matched her handwriting to notes Jeff had about Nancy's training times and locations and Tonya herself admitted in 2018 that she "knew something was up"
Why don’t they just sign up for PUA? They can get 10,000 dollars in backpay right now literally. It’s a fucking pandemic outside.
how does signing up to a pickup artist get you money?
Homes being cheaper wouldn't help homeless people because they have no money at all. You could give them homes for free and they still wouldn't be able to afford the property taxes and maintenance, and it would just drive down property values and quality of life for everyone else in the neighbourhood.
I think a lot of nature docs are digitally retouched and manipulated by the creators. Isn't it weird that CGI and footage of animals became indecipherable
How do you have internet?
How many homeless are young (over 18) and attractive? Is prostitution common?
They had a doc on Netflix titled tent city, or something like that, which follows the daily life of people trying to survive with no place to go

Should get worse now that they forced their first black police chief out and defunded the cops.
My understanding is that there was some Supreme Court (of the USA) ruling a few decades ago along the lines of: people can't be put in insane asylums if such-and-such conditions aren't met. So, they're let on the street and this happens.
Also something something drug use, something something mental illness, something something the rent is too damn high etc. Me? I just want them all continuously euthanized as they crop up. t. we had a pretty good shantytown going here a few years ago and it's splintered into small pockets of OP pic related at all the public parks.
Also the root cause of their situation is a combination of stupidity, mental illness, bad behavior, and the total lack of future time orientation and conscientiousness that all this entails. So it's a bit silly to even entertain the idea of them "learning to pay the bills", or something, because that's so far downstream of the real cause. Like trying to treat one specific symptom without understanding the overall etiology of the disease, a tenable solution of which is, again, euthanasia.
what third world country is this?
The Big Short lol
I work in nyc and over the years the homeless problem has gotten worse and worse to the point homeless are on every street corner one actually asked for money from me and to just make him go away I gave him a dollar and he had the balls to say "I know you have more"
In Philly some bum had the gall to ask to use my credit card “real quick” when I said no cash. Unreal
It's almost as if the police-and what amounts to the same thing, the threat of the police-serve a salutary social function. And it's almost as if my invocation of the phrase "it's almost as if" is appropriate.
Here in Toronto we have been sending our homeless to california and other US states because we know you will never deport them
Rack Em Willie
Rona is going to cause literally a million people to be on the streets of LA. Based post-apocalyptic kino IRL
Day of the rake fucking when.
i was homeless for a week in nyc and i honestly can't believe how those hobos do it. i cried and begged to my cousin to let me crash at their place since i can't stand the cold
Hence the necessity for euthanasia.
>give joggers free everything
>destroy everything given to them
>call inanimate objects racist for breaking on them
>call whites and asians racist for not giving them more free shit
>kill each other
>fight with police
>blame white people
>create BLM and evoke mass riots nd panic over drug addled felon
>destroy more cities
>demand more free things
>everyone is racist but diversity hires
>i hate joggers
