Depending on how you approach it I start watching my go to Halloween movies on and off the weekend after thanksgiving

>sit back and open a good fall beer
>get my popcorn and maybe some apple slices
>put on pumpkin head to kick off the season
>culminates on Halloween night with a Thing midnight viewing
>live in middle of nowhere so we all get together and sit on hay bales and drink hot cider and watch the movies outside on a projector, becomes a small community thing

My favorite time of year. I’ve already started watching some c-grade Halloween movies. Today was Stan Helsing and American Fright Fest. I saw Witchhammer earlier, but that movie is an absolute masterpiece.

I dunno if The Thing is better to watch on Halloween or if it's worth saving for a dark cold night in December
