White "culture"

go back

Something tells me Europeans actually do this. Like this is based on a true story. Aren't Euros really into psychedelics?

what like aztecs and africans don't have weird ass cultural shit themselves?

Pelle orchestrated the trip which murdered everyone, but he did it for Dani. After seeing Dani get neglected by Chris after the horrific death of her entire family, pelle had the right sense to bring her to a HIS community to heal.

I wonder why their relationship wasn't explored. It's like they stopped talking to each other once they got there. But pelle Kisses her by the end and that's it. I wonder if Dani reciprocated.

I didn't like this movie that much and, surely, missed some of the themes but I don't really have any desire to rewatch it and figure them out. I can see why it would appeal to people but it wasn't flashy enough to grab and keep my attention. I think it and Wickerman are only incidentally similar and resent others who say it is simply a shitty modern "remake", but Wickerman did it better.

It's interesting to compare the two movie, however, and they both used similar elements of an archaic, alien culture in regard to the protagonistsof both to compose the horror elements, but whereas Wickerman was primarily interested in being a horror movie with the intention of using these elements to elicit any response from audiences, Midsommar was more of an art-film depicting an analogy of a broken relationship and moving on with the horror as second fare in this goal. Midosmmar was interesting but I didn't really like it.

Yeah but those are ancient cultures. This feels modern. Also why are you getting defensive? Did I trigger you? lol euro detected. Honestly though, can you give me an example of what those cultures did that was more crazy than this? Like the whole heart thing in apocalypto seems normal compared to this.

Tbh, this film is kind of racist? I mean technically the guy in the other couple died first but why did they have to kill the black guy first? His death was the only one on screen if you don't count Christian.

They were too busy chanting and doing weird shit. The whole time I was wondering if any of this was real and well...

>“This is not Swedish history. This is folklore,” Aster is careful to note.

>“All of them are true,” Svensson said on the phone from Stockholm regarding the rituals depicted in the movie having at least some basis in historical fact, such as the oversized mallet used to finish the job when an older couple attempts suicide by jumping from a cliff.

>“The mallet, we did a replica of the mallet from a museum we saw in Stockholm,” he said. “When they jump from a cliff that was the custom until not so long ago, for elderly people. But they mainly got pushed. And many of the cliffs are now historic sites for everyone to see. So it’s true, all of it. And that’s the scary part.”

She is relentlessly ugly.

You watched a jew trying to paint whites as inherently creepy and degenerate.

Rehashed Wicker Man

There are plenty of cults around the world. What makes something a culture/religion is if the founder is dead. It might not be widespread but there are stupid people everywhere in the world that fell for shit like this. You wouldn't believe how many cults exist in America alone. I couldn't imagine how many exist in China, India, Africa.

I call bullshit.

We're open about cults and their weird ass practices and stupid followers. Every where else in the world treats them like real religions that get protection.

Its quite depressing how disconnected so called "whites" are from their cultural heritage that they claim this movie is some hit piece on their history. No faggots, traditions are weird and beautiful heuristic methods to navigate through life, and all of them, if taken seriously will look completely foreign and uncivilized to us because to the pagan mind the world of spirituality is interwoven into every facet of existence so things that seem insane to us have an incredibly rich history steeped in metaphysical tradition, one all the participants are ecstatic to have a part in.

wypipo scary cuz they live life in the best way possible. better to live like black pipo who shoot each other.

I believe it desu, didn't the people in Massachusetts come from England and they burned witches and shit?

>they live life in the best way possible.
user what? you serious right now? lol desu the whole time I was watching I told myself I'd rather live in America with all the shootings, I can at least make sense of that. Not only are the rituals scary and the killing but they add shrooms to it? fuuuck that.

A shitty movie

A great movie

are you pretending to be retarded or is this just true 90iq posting

It is scary when things are super normal and leads to productive families. Scary. Better to have crack addicted black folk aborting 95% of their babies for godless reasons so they can elect Democrats. This makes sense. Don't think twice about it.

Europeans might do this, but you'll never believe what crazy things they do in Africa and the Middle East.

But boy can she ever pout!

were the cultists supposed to be painted as bad people? I actually kinda liked them and felt like the guy who pissed on the tree deserved to die

I was just poking fun at euros, pretty sure this goes on all over the world anons. It's just I can make sense of the shit that goes on in America, like shootings and political violence or drug abuse. I'm just not used to European folklore or traditions like this so the idea of it is scary to me.

The writer is jewish, you idiots. It's a horror story about le ebil trad white people

Exactly this. It's why every single person at the commune was super white looking and blonde or a red head. It's why they didn't have subtitles for the swedish as it was meant to make american audiences see them as alien and ominous.

None of the rituals and shit in the movie are actual traditions, just myth and folklore.

>Also why are you getting defensive? Did I trigger you

Lmao, you replied to HIM ya dingus - you got "triggered" or whartever it is you little faggots say these days

>drugs
>weird sex
>traveling "to find yourself"
>majoring in a meme field in university
yep, sounds about white

Did Christian deserve to die?

This movie is lowkey kind racist senpai.

>White guy steals Black guys thesis idea
>Forced to accept it by other white guy cause "he came to me first".
>Leads black guy to look for more information to make his thesis better
>gets killed.

First person to die on screen, what a coincidence.
