I'll be honest, Ive watched all the james bond movies and some of them do kind of blend in together. What was this one about?
Post connery, the stand alone movie
My favorite bond film
based
Best film IMO. The theme song is pretty great. Totally camp evil plot but best Blofeld. Love when the choppers come in at the complex.
It’s also a lot sleepier and slower than a lot of the Bonds.
Plus this never happened to the other guy
the prettiest bond movie ever made. Nice cinematography. Movie hits a fucking wall once he goes undercover as a fag and eats dinner with all the nice girls. Picks back up after that, but man, that whole dinner scene was just a giant momentum killer
fella
Have seen all Official Bond films except the one mentioned in OP and the 1954 Casino Royale. Are they worth a watch /tv anons?
On her majesty service is masterpiece
Lazenby is underrated, or maybe I'm just retarded. But that part where Bond goes in disguise, it took me longer than I care to admit that it was him.
Same. Except I saw Never Say Never Again. I thought it was a good movie.
If you've seen every other one why would you not watch them
Best score of any Bond movie
Do you think later in life, he regretted/regrets only doing one film anons?
Its an excellent film
I broke down after years of contrarians claiming it was kino and watched it myself and......it was kino
Wish he'd made a few more
Not the best Bond, but definitely among the better ones
Telly Savalas is an underrated Bond villain too btw
>Telly Savalas is an underrated Bond villain too btw
I think he's the best Blofeld, personally.
He does. He speaks frequently about it on how dumb he was to reject doing more bond films.
Later he made a lot of money in the real state bussiness, he cant complain about that.
you're missing the central chapter of the main Bond trilogy, you doofus
Blofeld Trilogy:
-You Only Live Twice
-OHMSS
-Diamond are Forever
jesus, now that I'm thinking about it, it's probably the most important movie in the whole fucking franchise, wtf
fucking WATCH IT
like, imagine going straight from the ending of YOLT to the beginning of DAF, ridiculous. OHMSS is what gives the trilogy any substance
OHMSS blows. Rigg is the only good thing about it. I love Savalas but I don't think he made for a good Blofeld. Lazenby was okay, but not great. It's a movie I've always wanted to love but I just don't.
>trying to trick me into watching Diamonds Are Forever
>He didnt watch On her majesty service
Wtf is wrong with you, if you go and watch JB marathon that is a serious must watch.... I cant process that, wtf is fucking wrong with you
it's got a great car chase
everything else about it IS pretty dumb
The first three Bond films as well as The Spy Who Loved Me are the best ones.
fine, but the point is that the Blofeld movies are a trilogy, and that user skipped the middle segment
>Lazenby is underrated
You're not retarded at all. Lazenby was a great Bond. Totally under-rated.
Fuck yes.
youtube.com
I think it's a tie between him and Donald Pleasance.
Max Zorin best Bond villain
Ohmss is referenced more than any other bond film
Ir's interesting that people seem to either really love this one or absolutely despite it. It has to be the most divisive Bond movie
i don't care what anyone says, this movie had one of the best but saddest endings in the bond franchise.
>bond doing missions his whole life
>killing for the government plus doing all the spy stuff
>closes himself off emotionally for the missions he does
>finally meets someone who he feels comfortable enough to show his true self to, how he truly feels under all the suave lines and martinis
>decides to marry her
>cool as fuck q and money penny are even there to support him and wish him a good life
>she gets killed by a bunch of assassins as revenge or something like that
>bond clutches her lifeless body as if to say why does this happen to me, i was out now, i finally had what i wanted
>bond breaks down emotionally for the first time in the series revealing the part he keeps hidden behind all the sex and martinis
>the ending more or less shows that no matter who he falls in love with, they'll always be in danger because of his work, regardless of if it's in the past or present
fucking kino, by far one of the best bond endings
can't really blame the guy though, his agent really fucked him over telling him that the bond thing was a thing of the past and he shouldn't do it. his agent was supposed to look out for him and instead gave him some bad advice. even roger moore says the same thing that it wasn't really his fault and he just got bad advice. apparently he was offered again a second time with a bigger pay check but turned it down because of the agent and everything. apparently the bond girl didn't really like him and neither did the broccoli's if i recall correctly
depends on the film user but goldeneye for me is a much watch and so are a lot of the early ones but it really depends on the movie. some bond movies are really great and some are die another day tier
I don't know about "great" but I thought he was perfectly fine, although dubbing him over with the voice of some homosexual heraldry expert was dumb. Why would he need to fake his voice anyway?
disregard what i said here i just reread the question. yes watch both, ohmss is great and casino royal is well liked (i didn't think it was as good as it was hyped but it's still a good watch)
The film has probably some of the best cinematography, but George Lazenby was a shit actor, and all the under over bullshit was terrible.
horrible reveal though, the mysterious Blofeld finally shows his face... from behind his bodyguard's ass.
Totally agree.
>not liking the ending
