What if American Psycho was set in 2020?
What if American Psycho was set in 2020?
It could work.
Bateman would definitely have a more-on-top haircut with a fade
Could McConaughey play a cool Bateman?
Whenever I look at that book cover, all I see is Michael Douglas from Wall Street.
>book is about how interchangeable all those 80s Yuppies were
>Bale, Douglas and that random man on the cover both blend in even though they’re completely different people
Pottery.
Thought you said Batman at first and I was about to ask what's wrong with your fuckin head
it would but it would be pretty cringe and likely involve Bateman checking out how many followers people had on instagram
Bateman get ipad
Bateman would be running for re-election in the midst of a pandemic
AMERICAN PSYCHO FOR THE DIGITAL AGE
he'd be on the west coast in tech
do business men really?
you're just shilling now
"I was trying to listen to the new Billie Ellish song..."
I think he's too likeable/charismatic even when he's trying to not be, personally.
>Hey Paul!
>AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
>TRY GETTING VERIFIED NOW YOU STUPID FUCKING ASSHOLE
I just want a Glamorama movie.
It would work.
Except in New York with covid happening could make it extra interesting
bateman buisness card scene but instead he spazzes out because he lost an instagram follower
"New instagram filter... whaddya think?"
as faggy and cringe as that "if american psycho was about computer programmers" it would probably take place in that environment.
Although instead of murdering women he'd be the one being tortured and cucked or something equally as bad.
Young yuppie business bros, absolutely
did you take the movies and time travel to 1974?
look at that fucking couch
he'd be working in silicon valley and would have a very pretty girlfriend that he would consistently gaslight and emotionally abuse, then he'd talk with his indian colleagues about how badly women are mistreated and how we need more feminism
You poorfags do realize that Wall Street still exists, right?
You do realize that those digits are still impressive, right?
Do you like Tom Myers?
His early work was a little derivative for my taste. But when Pitchforks, Torches and Other Random Thoughts came out in '13, I think he really came into his own, comedically and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really give the jokes a big boost. He's been compared to Bill Hicks, but I think Tom has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
In '18, Tommy released this; Make America Innate Again, his most accomplished album. But I think Tom's undisputed masterpiece is "Bong Hit Transplant" - A joke so hilarious, most people probably don't understand its message. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of drug abuse and the importance of proper diet, it's also a personal statement about Tom's sobriety itself.
HEY NICK! TRY GETTING A DRINK TICKET NOW YOU FUCKING STUPID BASTARD!!!!
Like if it was a remake or they made a, actual, sequel set today?
Music is too black now.
Only if bateman was a fag, like mconagay
Based
Is it still all WASPy like it was in the book?
At the time he was the right age to play the character, he wasn’t a good enough actor. He’s good enough now but he’s too old. It’s a Catch-22
It also reminded me a lot of Taxi Driver
