wanna watch this russian movie, preferably in original with subtitles. reading on comments it seems quite depressive. I have a young child and squeamish wive, would watch alone on my phone. spoil me /tv, is that movie realy that much of a downer? how much gore do they show you? is it depressing as the road?

i saw this yesterday and i have to say it's quite overrated imo. nearly all of the characters seem mentally defective, switching from one emotion to the next without consitency, the shots are too long, dialogue is awkward (might just be the translation). i also felt they made the germans look too bad and the russians look too good. overall i'd give it a 7/10, mostly for the sound design and the ballsy decisions made.
