Is it worth watching?
Spider-Man (1994)

Absolutely.
Venoms coloring always confused me
Yeah, it's a legit fun cartoon. The pacing of the show is fucking bonkers at times, a LOT of shit can happen in one episode.
Yeah, I’d it’s a fun show to watch
it and BTAS are great
When male superheroes are actually thicc, unlike the basedboys of today.
Women won't ever be depicted like this in a cartoon
I think it's cool. Style.
Venom is supposed to be shiny, like an oil slick
Nope.
In the show, I mean. That's the look they were going for.
It was worth watching. I mainly recall the episode with the portal antagonist. Can't recall how it actually ended now, but it left me perturbed then.
You're thinking of The Spot. Pretty sure he killed himself to save New York
Yep its damn good. Not nearly as good as Batman/Superman TAS but still. Also it had better animation than X-Men TAS.
Its very fast paced and annoying.
Its like "epic montage" from Nolan movies, just all the time.
No quiet minute, maximum two seconds.
If you eight years old then its cool, i guess.
Something that doesnt get talked about a lot with 94 Spider-Man is how many GREAT story archs there are, the whole series is basically made up of a bunch of smaller DBZ-esque sagas. The whole Morpheus shit blew my mind as a kid, as well as the number of other Marvel characters that popped in and out of the show in a way that felt organic.
If anyone else remembers, the last two episodes of the show are, IMO, one of the best send offs for an animated series ever
>Also it had better animation than X-Men TAS.
I wouldn't call it really better, just more consistant.
Its hard to show any depth with a jet-black character, they tried to do it in an interesting way that was just "hey lets outline them in a monochromatic color"
>If you eight years old then its cool, i guess.
Basically this, I'm glad I had this at the time, even though BTAS was the shit.
Can't outline a black suit in black. Handrawn animation problems.
The rape scene (implied) will make you feel feels.
Really gives a dark shade to Peter Parker
Yep, it was my favorite cartoon when i was a kid.
>If you eight years old then its cool, i guess.
This. It was a great show as a kid, but it doesn't hold up today.
Also, the animation was really shitty, and the show itself was openly a toy commercial.
>this action show has too much action!
I think the animation was close, but spider mans characters just looked better in terms of style. Plus Spider-Man worked in that badass 3d stuff randomly
Meant for
This is such a plebian opinion, you have been well & truly filtered.
When I was a kid, Batman: TAS was king. But it wasn't on Saturday mornings, though. It was on weekdays in the afternoon if I remember right.
On Saturday morning on FOX, it was all about the X-Men cartoon. Spider-Man came on afterwards and it was alright, just not quite as good.
Fuck off tryhards, go watch Steven Universe or whatever other Cal-sharts trash you grew up on. It was a fucking Spider-Man cartoon, and a damned good one at that.
>theres too much action in my saturday morning SPIDER MAN cartoon!
Fuck off. That show had tons of congruent story and character arcs, it even took time to get in to Peters romantic life with all the different girls as well as his own personal or family issues. Guaranteed neither one of you turds ever watched the whole series
Based FOX saturday mornings. X-Men at 11am, Spider-Man at 11:30, and then Star Trek: TNG at 12.
objectively yes, that's why he looks like that. He's inky. What do you mean "nope"?
Yes, if only for the portrayal of Spider Man and Shockers intense - often borderline sexual - friendship.
Yes. It's genuinely the best Spidey cartoon of all time. That shit was my childhood, bro.
I'M SORRY UUAAHAUAHAUHUAHUUHUAAAAAAHHHGHGGHGHHH
Based!
I had such a huge crush on her. Didn't understand my feelings at the time. Best Spidey girl.
