The conceit of this image is kind of cool, and its pretty well executed. But I was kind of pumped to actually talk about Disney princesses. I watched Cinderella for the first time since I was little the other day and it was really beautiful. I like the rags to riches aspect, and the art direction was clean but detailed. Not as impressive as Sleeping Beauty. The songs were fun and "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" is up there with "When You Wish Upon a Star". I even bought a can of Cinderella spaghetti-o's

Same, I couldn't care less about true crime fanfiction because I'm not an obese woman. I've been meaning to rewatch sleeping beauty as an adult, maybe beauty & the beast. Fantasia is incredible, not a princess in sight.

Yeah she's pretty great, and while I love the opening fanfare choral music "Sleeping Beauty" lacks an iconic song. Much more palatable for boys imo too because of the pig monsters and the dragon slaying. Feels more mythic than Snow White or Sleeping Beauty. Maybe higher stakes have to do with the different between legends and folklore

My girlfriend downloaded Disney+ so I've been going back through some of the animated features. Actually watched the Beauty and the Beast Christmas special thing and it was pretty good, I liked the giant evil pipe organ played by Tim Curry. And definitely need to watch Fantasia again. I watched Melody Time and enjoyed it, and they didn't have "Make Mine Music" on the app so I got curious and ordered a VHS of it. Its another collection of musical shorts, but with 40's big band and jazz instead of classical. I really liked the vintage Valentine look of the title cards
