Fuck this nigger. Gave me the water spooks as a kid and I still haven't recovered completely.
I would always go back to rewatch it.
top five

>clyde bruckman's final repose

>triangle
>paper hearts
...ESL posters, do you have X Files copycats in your countries...
good taste, I would substitute drive with a monster ep though
There was some terrifying shit early on in that show. All of the Mulders sister/father/smoking man/mytharc shit can suck a fat dick though. Monster of the week and wacky adventures or bust.

i didnt watch most of the mythology episodes
Early mytharc episodes were certified fucking kino, but started to lose track after S4. They didn't really know what they wanted to do or what the "truth" really was so they just fucking winged it. They absolutely jumped the shark with the fucking movie, and the mytharc episodes never recovered.
All the MOTW episodes were generally good, though, even post-Mulder. Doggett and Reyes had rocky starts but were shaping up to be decent characters; the problem was still just the writing for the main plot. It went way past its original scope, and realistically should have ended at S5.
Also S3-S7 Scully is Prime Scully
Toombs
The Host
X-Cops
Ice
Gender Bender
this was the first episode i saw. scared the shit out of me when i was ten. also has the most pacific northwest aesthetic of all of them, so it remains a favorite.
>tfw no early-show scully gf
why live
also I haven't bothered watching til the end of this show once the focus shifted almost entirely on to the alien story, maybe season 7 or something around there. Kinda want to rewatch it now and try to finish it
name your fave monster.
do the 'super-soldiers' count?
>it's a mythology episode
>it's a two parter
You're getting gross.

It put good fear of dark water in me.
No, slavlandia loves Dana.
On my second full series rewatch now. Taking it a bit slower. Still on the first season. One of the best ever tv shows for sure.
Autism: The Post
Paper hearts was pure, undiluted kinography. Mulder shooting the killer is still one of the most impactful moments ever filmed tbqh.
I remembered nothing about the episode or it's plot, but I did have a fear that the flukeman is gonna climb out of my toilet and bite me on the ass for years.
This one is my favourite episode. And I almost didn't catch it. Binged the first 3.5 seasons on Netflix before it left, didn't know if I was gonna keep going without it. But then I pirated the next episode to see how I'd feel. It was Paper Hearts and I was blown away.
There's so much great character work in that episode. Tom Noonan is legitimately creepy and hateable, the way he emotionally manipulates Mulder, the way Mulder begins to seriously doubt his sister's abduction for the first time (revealing a deep lingering doubt), Scully's defensiveness for Mulder as she watches this sick fuck torture him. It's such a fantastic episode.
Literally Bravo Vince.
Woah, you really didn't like that, did you?
