And what of Good Solonius? (Spartacus)

WELL DONE CLAUDIUS!

I dont get this scene. Livia clearly shits on Claudius but on her death bed she realises his potential and forgives him knowing he will bring the Imperial Family back on course

I always thought it was Claudius hallucinating

Goddamn that was fucking annoying.

TRVE ROMAN DVBS FOR TRVE ROMANS

HE REFUSES TO MEME ME

>whore sleeping with a married man
>getting revenge on the person who exposed your homewrecking behavior is "justice"

She was tortured and raped. Also Atia wasn't exposing her as a homewrecker out of morality or anything

Now, that's a thread

It's been a while but wasn't the rape thing after Servilia had already retaliated?

What's confusing about that?

youtu.be/gMKSwcZNpd8

Livia clearly changed her attitude to Claudius by the time of her death. If she were to speak to him after death she wouldn't have mocked him.

Again, what is confusing about that? Of everybody she knew who was involved in "the game" he was the only one to actually make it, all she wanted was to be a godess, she says so on her deathbed begging caligua.
She spends all her life expending energy fronting as a strong woman capable of enacting her will on others beyond her authority, in her last moments of frailty all she has is the pity of an old woman and she knows it.

so why be mean to him after death?

true. But either way its understandable she was pissed

I really really didn't like the way Graves wrote Augustus as a mildly bumbling fool always fooled by his wife.

its historical fiction. if you want accuracy read a well researched biopic.

that show was endless kino. We will never see wirting like this again

I know, that's why I said I didn't like it. The moment they move on from that and Sejuanus and Caligula take center stage it becomes truly great.

underrated post

Because that's how he remembers her

I don't actually mind the season 2 octavian.

its Agrippa portrayal that is the biggest travesty

May he receive COCK IN ARSE

Has anyone seen the 2002 Julius Caesar? It's goofy but fun and has a nice 50s aesthetic.

If you were to recolor the statues he's kind of a dead ringer tebehe.
