I would have stuck much closer to the original idea of a love story in reverse. One of the main problems with River is that by series 6 her timeline is all jumbled up and you're never really sure where she is. It would be much better if her timeline was simplified to

I think the problem with my idea is that it needs a strong ending, which just seeing the youngest River might not be able to sufficiently provide. It'd have to be a reverse of their interactions in Library, where the Doctor is the one who knows all about her and she's clueless about him.
Oh, and young River doesn't need to be fully formed like in Let's Kill Hitler. This should be character development in reverse.

I'm guessing that they'd be fine with it, considering gender changing regenerations are a normal part of their biology. But obviously there's the problem of sexuality, if Time Lords even have sexualities. It could just be looms all the way down.
