I didn't even think of this as a romance, it was just partnership and that's all. The real romance was with Mummy trying to hook up with Tom.
>The real romance was with Mummy trying to hook up with Tom.
This. That's what the original movie was about. I can't believe people failed to notice this and expected another generic hero/female lead romance trope.
The film throws in this as a "romance". It doesn't work, but it is there.
That elf shit in the hobbit trilogy
>tfw no mummy gf
>tfw no monster universe either
is this really too much to ask for?
Tenet
Smol
it wasnt weak or forced, but the romance between Ethan and Rebecca Ferguson's character in the last 2 Mission Impossible films was quite weird. it just seems they fell in love because "were both spies and shit"
also, Captain america and that blonde chick in Winter soldier and Civil war

Come on, Zig Forums...
That one I don't understand on any level, because it just happens in one scene, is never referenced again, and all Cap's films were written by the same screenwriters and they did IW and Endgame too, so they clearly had him always carrying a torch for Peggy and wishing he'd had that life, which is fulfilled in Endgame. But then in just one of the movies he's randomly in a romance with her niece.
this was so bad even the actors hated it
The movie would be pretty good if not for Doctor Jekyll and pointless ghost friend. Prove me wrong.
Undeveloped and forced eh?
It wouldn't. It takes a boring modern blockbuster approach to what should have been a horror film.
>When the movie is so cringe you forget about the cringiest parts
Blackie doesn't seem happy it wasn't daisy.
It does horror themes as well. The begining with mummy feeding on people and these scenes in gothic ruins are straight from campy horrors. It feels like Army of Darkness, goofy but also spooky.
TDKR romance between Batman and Catwoman.
>if half the film was missing it would be different
The Mummy more like the MOMMY
He's a complete dork
IKR. I don't care about that monster universe thing with vampires or wolves and Frankensteins but I'm glad we got this movie and it is here to stay regardless.
Annabella Wallis looks so yummy in this film
Nah, ruined herself with that nosejob
this
not that fans want to hear it
MOMMY!
its not only that. the movie would be a hit if there was marvel or dc logo. friendly reminder that suicide squad won oscar for best makeup and made 800m despite bing absolute power-rangers look-a-like shit . the mummy was much better and deserved at least nomination for the best makeup as well
I've noticed Zig Forums seems to be the only place that hates this pairing, Zig Forums and other places are for it and praise it as key to the series.
I know you said "film" but still
TV absolutely counts, I just say film for a snappier OP.
