British Columbia

a treasure trove of writers and two oh-so loveable leads... chris carter couldn't sink that ship, even though he tried very very often.

what is the best episode guide?

Season 1 was too boring. Is there a place where I can start when it gets good?

what was her problem?

Season 1 Episode 1

flat boxy cars, calm undifferentiated suburban residences, no revolutionary agitation besides a few flyover wingnuts and the proliferation of mannish suits for women... tinted windows and giant rectangular cell phones with antennas and cords... *SIGH*

The first film was the comfiest 'episode'. Any other films that look as nice as that one?

>nice greenhouse, fuckwit. mind if i see the deed?

whole nine seasons and the first movie are worth a watch and anyone saying otherwise is simply retarded

tfw that will never be you and scully

Neh.

Every episode is the same.

They even bring back old characters and literally remake old episodes.

Chris Carter was a hack

When does the s how hit its peak? I just finished the one towards the ends of season 3 where electric signals from the TV makes people paranoid and hallucinate and then kill people. Outside of the premier of 3 being one episode too many (finale of 2, then the first two episodes of 3) and maybe one or two duds (jaguar episode being the only one I can remember off the top of my head) season 3 has been top notch.

*purses mouth*
*rolls eyes*

seven seasons are full kino. 8th is close. They tried different things and mostly succeeded. 9 has a quality drop but it's still good and worth the watch.

second movie is crap. Rebooted - i tried all episodes in first season and i couldn't finish one. They are 1/10. Everything that original did right, it's done wrong here. They didn't even care to have good editing or good cinematography.

White people.

why is she so condescending?

she's the heavy... mulder's the lightweight, he's just there to break down a few doors once in awhile.

This is bullshit.
The show became garbage after Duchovny left.

Were there a lot of Trump jokes in Season 10?

It was the 90s, an arguably better time. Muh Presentism.

Opinions are like assholes...

Because you could make a show about zany conspiracies and urban legends 20 years ago without it being SERIOUS FUCKING BUSINESS. Make the show today and it would be a straight laced drama about how the Russians have a remote control circuit installed in the president's brainstem.

You could also get away with it because of lack of information, now you can look up any conspiracy find there may have been some truth to it.

I remember being in on a lot of what the X Files dealt with when I was little but both my parents were into that sort of thing.

It was harder to find information like that out, now you can do it on your phone.
Changes the dynamic of how your audience views the show.

>just started a rewatch of this kino
>suddenly the first thread on Zig Forums about this show that I've ever seen
The truth is out there...
