I gotta gun like that. I call it the nanosecond I finished pumping with my card

I guess we just post pics of that weapon

can a /k/ fag explain to a brainlet what exactly is wrong with this?

The blast is way too big and his enormous sausage fingers just look hilarious gripping that pea shooter

Also the gun is extremely obviously just a plastic toy.

The real question though is, why the fuck did they show it in a close-up? They had to have known the prop was shit.

i thought this was considered one of the best television series of all time?

this scene would be less iconic if it had some innocuous generic looking gun being used by a more normal looking character killing a more impressive target than jackie

this gun has filtered so many people they should call it a brita

This is a genuine and agreeable opinion

The prop is shit on purpose so no one on set confuses it with an actual gun. They probably meant to edit that scene later and either forgot or got lazy.

A lot of death or fight scenes in the Sopranos are intentionally awkward or funny. See Vito or Phil Leotardo's death

I think there was some story about how the actor who played jackie jr. was a cunt and chase wanted to get rid of him without him knowing, so they shot some random footage of him walking and then created the scene in post production. that's why vito literally teleports behind him and all we see is a closeup of his fat fingers

its a single shot assassin pistol where you dont need to spend 5 minutes trying to find where the casing flew off to

>GIVE ME THAT DEVO GUN

The Sopranos slowly evolved from a gangster tribute series into a comedy series that wanted to portray the mafia as the pathetic uncinematic boomers they were IRL. In a lesser show like The Wire (or season 1 of the Sopranos), Jackie's hit would've had a lean looking mean faced mobster step out of the bushes with a sleek silenced pistol, levelling it at a wide eyed Jackie. The professional looking assassin would spout some line the writers wanted to be iconic, then gun down Jackie while some indie song played, all while ignoring the basic ridiculous premise of the scene that the mafia were devoting a bunch of resources to whack some 21 year old fuck up college drop out.

By that point the Sopranos writers had become self aware enough that they knew writing the hit with any sort of grace or dignity was ridiculous, so they had the fattest gangster wield the tiniest gun they could find, had him teleport behind Jackie off screen, then shoot him unceremoniously once in the back of the head on a dirty street in the middle of nigger town before waddling away.

The point is to highlight how pathetic and comical the mafia actually was, and it makes the scene more memorable. That's why we're still talking about it 20 years later while no one remembers Brendan Filone's death or things like pic related.

Do you get it now user?

Yes user, this is what I think of when I think of The Wire. I think of silenced pistols and one liners with indie songs playing.

>hyped up as a super powerful weapon or object
>doesn’t do anything besides make people invisible or angry

Feel like I'm gonna break this damn thing!

that was always such a weak joke.
he should have just explained it or have him test it on a firing range. its one of theose jokes that relys on people acting like how two team mates would ever never act in real life, it would be over with 5 seconds of explanation from white partner to black partner. .

lol how the fuck did any of that work?

I hated this in MIB. Even as a kid I was like, why wouldn’t they give him something good and risk fucking up any mission for a weak joke?

This was so fucking stupid.

>shoots own arm
>everybody knows I'm a wise guy

>give a rookie an incredibly dangerous gun and don't tell him how it works
J could have easily killed himself, K, or a bystander not knowing what that gun would do.
