How come people don't bring up 80's Nickelodeon that much? 90's Nick gets FAR more love as well as the 2000's Nick.

Is there ANY of you that were OLD ENOUGH to have SEEN Nick in the 80's? If so, what shows do you REMEMBER from it?

Hey Dude was shit

Because the 80s were fucking trash

Most things peaked in the 90s

Maybe that's why they don't bring up the 80s

Imagine being here and remembering the 80s.

Zig Forums only started watching nickelodeon when it started airing child pornography. really makes you think.

I mean it had to be late 80s right? 87 88 at most. To where its almost so few years apart theres little difference. What came out in the 80s?
Hey dude and Pete and pete was really early 90s. Clarissa explains it all is early 90s. Legends of the hidden temple had to be 90s. Same with salute your shorts. What came out in the 80s?

I was wrong pete and pete and hey dude came out in 89

ren & stimpy 91 also.

i graduated hs in 87, so never watched any of it except r&s some years later

I don't think I had Nickelodeon until the early 90's? I remember You Can't Do That On Television and some weird game shows but I don't remember Nickelodeon becoming a major thing until SNICK and Nicktoons happened.

>why deosnt 4chin talk about 80s nick
assuming they were 8-10 years old in the late 80s they would be 40 now.
no 40 year old posts on 4hcannel right?

Because it was nothing and shit.

37 here bud

Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics

Nicktoons made the channel

I used to watch You Can't Do That on Television, does that count?

You're here forever. Being 30 and still coming here is pathetic as well.

32 here. I didnt know Nick was out in the 80s.

Because there was only 2 decently memorable shows from that period (Hey Dude and Double Dare) and hey dude fucking sucks.

Because people had better things to do in the 80's than constantly consoome. That hasn't been the case since the 90's.

like most cable channels, it started in the early 80s. youd be suprised at how old alot of TV channels are (Nick, Weather Channel, HBO, MTV, etc)

Fuck you and your fat fuck of a mother

41 and i love it. You all make me feel better about myself

hey dude was kino af

I only ever see it brought up in the context of Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea.

Literally nothing peaked in the 90s except maybe video games which is the lowest form of entertainment

>Hating in Hey Dude
Knew you fucks are retarded and have no taste. Probably due to majority of you being Yuropoors seething against anything that remotely reminds you of America

Was Mr. Wizard late 80s?

I was born in 84, so I was watching turn of the decade and most of the 90s.

This

Nick Arcade was god tier.

Early 80s actually (1983)

>>Pete+Pete under Are you Afraid of the Dark
Do you know how shitty My Brother and Me is? I don't remember it at all, not even enough to hate it.

90s show
t. nickelodeon expert

No Nick Arcade?Shame on you user.

yeah basically, i didnt thing WWYD was that bad tho, and i think rugrats might be great tier

also fun fact, an episode of AYAOTD inspired M Night to white 6th Sense

Are You Afraid of the Dark is the best thing Nickelodeon ever made.

Make way for the best show in the 80s on Nickelodeon. Pic related. There were some others like Mister Wizard that was good, but Nick didn't get really good til the early 90s.

Source: born in '81.

Season and episode? Been rewatching the series recently actually.

Cool. I just remember that shit being on at like 4:30 in the morning.

it's I hope we never part, now get it right or pay the price.

best epi: the fat kid (can't remember his name) goes with a wheelbarrow to get hamburgers but there's a hole in his pocket and he loses all his money.

Didn't Nick Arcade come on Saturday morning? I was too busy watching FOX Kids.

wow what a faggot

love me some Brad.

wrong. rocket power was based.

My Brother and Me's most redeeming quality was they frequently mentioned the Charlotte Hornets. It was a crappy show.

Rugrats destroyed its legacy with all of those shitty spinoffs and movies.

HEEEEEY DEEEEWD!
It's a little wild and a little straaaange when you make your home down on the raaaange!

This Danger Mouse, and Count Duckula are what I remember most from the 80s. They showed a lot of old 50s shows too like Lassie, Mr Ed, and Dennis the Menace.

anything that came out after rugrats was objectively terrible. Yes I'm looking at you Doug, and all your low budget reproductions Hey Arnold, Real Monsters, etc. Alex Mack was good though.
