There only thing diverse about this were the women being taken. You don't need a new study to know a "viking" was a Scandinavian farmer or craftsman going a-viking (raiding).
As per usual this is just misconstruing existing history under the guise of "new science" to act like vikings were black or something just because they were not all genetically identical.
Almost all people who would have been described as "vikings" were Nordic and Germanic descent, and absolutely none were sub-Saharan black African, unless there were like 2 associated with the Varangian Guard or something.
Greece and Rome were pagan for most of their history.
